She curled her lips into a frosty half-smile, turning to Alexander. "Handle the PR."
Danielle glanced over at him, but Alexander didn't meet her eyes. He simply lowered his gaze, pulled out his phone, and sent a message to his assistant.
The television crew, of course, knew exactly who the Davidsons were—people you did not want to cross. The moment things started going sideways, they had cut the live feed. Still, there was no way they could have predicted what Bianca would say next, and by the time she was done, the damage was already broadcasted.
Clips of the fiasco would inevitably be replayed, dissected, and blown out of proportion online. But for the Davidsons, a family of their stature, this kind of incident was barely a blip—something they could make disappear with a simple flick of the wrist.
Danielle's lips twisted with disdain. This was so typical of Alexander: always indifferent, never bothering to distinguish right from wrong, never caring about how Niki or she herself felt.
"So what if the broadcast made it out?" Bianca said flatly. "It's just a family spat."
She'd made her point perfectly clear. With power and money on their side, the Davidsons were untouchable. Danielle never stood a chance.
Bianca turned her sharp gaze toward the teacher. "I said first place goes to Rafferty. Does anyone have an objection?"
The teacher, caught between a rock and a hard place, pressed her lips together. "Based on the scores, Monica is actually first, and she was the quickest in the first round as well."
Bianca's brows knotted. "I'm talking about the second round."
"Um…"
Danielle looked up at Bianca, her voice cool and even. "Since you're so sure Raffy can handle work for first graders, give him ten minutes. Let him finish a test. If he gets a perfect score, then he and Niki can share first place. If not, that's fine—Niki will let him have the title. If he wants an empty victory so badly, let him have it."
Everyone knew who was truly capable. No amount of family influence could prop up a child with no real ability forever.
"The Davidson family's granddaughter will not be left out on the streets," Bianca said coldly. "Niki, come home with Grandma. If you go with your mother, you'll have nothing—not even a place to live."
Niki squeezed Danielle's hand and shook her head. "Wherever Mom goes, I go."
"And I'm tired of always having to give in to my brother at home."
Bianca gave a short, mocking laugh. "You want to be a little princess, don't you? But your brother is the Davidson heir—he'll be the one looking after you someday. Of course the family's resources go to him."
"If you leave with your mother, you'll have nothing. She can't possibly provide for you."
Niki's brow furrowed stubbornly. She wasn't about to let her grandmother manipulate her. "Why can't I be the Davidson heir?" she demanded. "Aren't I just as smart and capable as my brother? Why can't I be the one to take care of him when I grow up? Don't I even get a fair chance?"

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
