The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 40

The teacher glanced down at the score sheet and announced, "I'm pleased to declare the top prize in our math competition goes to… Monica!"

A look of satisfaction spread across Danielle's face.

Niki was so excited she nearly jumped out of her chair.

"What do you mean?" Millie frowned at the teacher. "Didn't Rafferty get the highest score this round?"

The teacher smiled patiently. "Ah, there was a little mix-up when handing out the papers. Rafferty did indeed score highest—on the kindergarten-level math test."

The teacher continued, "But Monica here took the first-grade exam. She got a perfect score, so the top spot belongs to her."

Raffy's face fell, his expression darkening.

How could this be possible?

Niki couldn't have taken the first-grade exam!

"She must've cheated!" Raffy jabbed a finger at Niki. "There's no way she could have done that well!"

Niki stood up, indignant. "I did not cheat! I answered every question myself. Mommy showed me how earlier!"

Danielle was surprised too—Niki had mastered the new material so quickly, after just one lesson.

Raffy scowled, unconvinced. "Yeah, right. I know exactly what you're capable of."

There was no way she could have gotten that score unless she'd cheated.

"The winner should be Rafferty," he insisted.

Bianca swept into the room, her expression icy.

Bianca scooped him up, her tone softening a little. "You are the future heir of the Davidson family. No one would dare bully you."

Turning to Danielle, Bianca's eyes narrowed. "I entrusted you with raising the Davidson children."

Bianca's gaze hardened as she looked at Niki. "Monica, come here and apologize to your brother. You pushed him earlier, and that was wrong."

"If you don't, this school has no place for a violent child like you."

Danielle gave a cool, almost amused smile. "Mrs. Davidson, wielding your power as always."

She gestured to the security camera. "If the footage gets out, how do you think people will judge the Davidson family?"

Bianca glanced at the camera. "Even if it does, Niki should still apologize. People will only praise my parenting."

Her meaning was clear as day.

Danielle didn't lose her composure. "True, footage can be taken out of context. But what about a livestream?"

She pointed to the TV crew setting up their cameras not far away.

This math competition was being covered live by the local news.

The moment Bianca caught sight of the cameras, her brow tightened in alarm—
