The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 85

Niki glanced at Raffy.

Raffy stuck out his tongue at her. "Copycat!"

She ignored him, took a deep breath, and strode straight up to the stage.

Standing in front of the computer, Niki planned to create a digital portrait right there, using the simple program she'd picked up from her mom. Her fingers moved tentatively at first, sketching out the rough features of her great-grandfather. As she worked, the image slowly became more vivid and lifelike.

Guests in the audience stared in disbelief.

A kid that young, manipulating such a complicated program with such precision…

Even the old patriarch's eyes betrayed a hint of appreciation.

Bianca's expression soured with each passing moment. When did she learn to do all this?

Millie's brows drew together as she watched Niki's every move, realizing this wasn't an act—Niki was genuinely operating the computer herself.

But at her age… How was that possible?

Bianca, keeping her composure, beckoned a servant and whispered a few words in her ear.

Danielle's gaze was fixed on the big screen, equally stunned by Niki's quick learning. She knew her daughter had a knack for art and picked up new skills almost instantly. She'd only shown Niki the basics of the program once or twice—she hadn't expected her to master it so quickly.

Niki's movements were a little clumsy and slow, but she was undeniably doing it all on her own.

Raffy turned to Millie. "Mom, what's she doing? I want to learn too!"

No way was he going to let Niki outshine him—he had to be the best at everything!

Millie smiled down at him, ruffling his hair. "Of course. I'll teach you when we get home tonight."

Raffy puffed out his chest. "I'll definitely be better than Niki."

"Right, Dad?"

Alexander watched the stage with a cool, unreadable gaze. Hearing his son, he finally tore his eyes away and managed a faint smile. "Of course."

Two minutes later.

Suddenly, the big screen went black, and the stage lights flickered out.

With the power cut, the computer lost its connection, and Niki froze, staring at her unfinished portrait.

She'd stepped out for a short rest, not expecting that Danielle and Niki would be treated this way in her absence.

Bianca stiffened, frowning. "Mother…"

"What is it?" the old lady challenged. "If you don't want to watch, no one's stopping you."

Bianca fell silent, not daring to defy her.

As long as the patriarch and matriarch were around, the Davidson family would never be hers to command.

She could only step aside.

Everyone watched as Niki, now in her element, quickly finished the portrait of her great-grandfather.

At the bottom, she wrote: "May your life endure as long as the heavens and the earth; may you shine as bright as the sun and the moon."

Niki looked up at the old man. "Great-Grandpa, I wish you health and happiness for many years to come."

It was clear to everyone that Niki's depth of learning far surpassed Raffy's.

The old man's face broke into a rare smile. "Wonderful! I never imagined my great-granddaughter would be so talented!"
