Raffy immediately hopped down from his great-grandfather's lap. "Grandpa, I've prepared a special performance for your ninetieth birthday!"
"Oh?" The old man's eyes sparkled with delight. "Let's see what our great-grandson has in store for us today."
Raffy grinned. "I've prepared a poetry recital. I hope your days ahead are filled with beauty and happiness, just like the poems themselves."
A few sweet words from the little boy and the old man was already beaming with pride.
Raffy climbed onto the grand stage in the banquet hall, took the microphone, and recited his chosen poems with all the feeling he could muster.
Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd below. Everyone began to murmur among themselves about how the Davidson family had such a promising heir.
"Thank you, everyone." Raffy's chest puffed up with pride at the praise, his face glowing with smug satisfaction.
"My great-grandson is truly exceptional—he's a real Davidson through and through!" The old man then turned to Millie, smiling approvingly. "Millie, you really know how to raise a child. Raffy's improved so much under your care."
The implication was clear—Danielle's efforts were once again overlooked, her dedication twisted as a fault.
"Boys and girls really are different," Bianca said with a sideways glance at Danielle. "Since your son is so outstanding, what has your daughter prepared?"
Niki had never been popular in the Davidson family. She was often ignored, seldom praised.
Now that Raffy had stolen the spotlight, the contrast made Niki seem all the more insignificant.
Niki stood up just then. "I've also prepared something for Grandpa."
Danielle froze.
She hadn't expected Niki to have anything prepared. In her memory, last time, Niki hadn't performed at all.
Or maybe, in that other life, Niki had been ready but had kept silent.
Danielle frowned, a pang of regret tightening in her chest. She'd paid too little attention to her daughter before.
Bianca gave a chilly smile, glancing at Niki. "So, you're just copying whatever your brother does?"
Niki nodded. "I'm ready—and I'm going to do even better than my brother."
"I just haven't had as many chances to learn as he has. But now that Mom's given me more opportunities, I've learned so much more than before. I know a lot more than Raffy does now."
Even children have their pride. In moments like this, Niki didn't want to let her mom down.
All the shining moments had always belonged to her brother. She'd been content to stay in the background, but now it felt like everyone was waiting for her to fail.
She had to prove herself—she couldn't let her mom lose face.
She wanted her dad to see that being exceptional wasn't just Raffy's privilege—she could be just as good.
With newfound courage, Niki walked up to the stage.
Raffy scoffed under his breath. "She's just a loser. What could she possibly pull off up there?"
"That's what you call putting on airs! Copycat—she always wants to do whatever I do."

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
