Danielle smiled and nodded, following Gian toward the lecture hall.
Just her luck.
They ran into Millie and Alexander again, and this time, Liam was with them.
Liam, Cloudpath's chief executive, had come along to keep up with the industry trends.
Alexander was seated in the very front row, dressed head to toe in black, as impeccably elegant as always. Judging by his position and the way people glanced at him, he seemed set to speak on stage today.
Gian leaned in and whispered, "I forgot to mention—Mr. Davidson's company is one of the industry leaders. He'll be giving a talk too."
"If you're uncomfortable, I can switch your seat."
"That's not necessary," Danielle replied, her voice steady.
She had nothing to hide. They worked in the same field; it was only a matter of time before their paths crossed. She couldn't spend her whole life dodging him just because he happened to be somewhere.
Why should she have to step aside just because he was present?
Without another word, Danielle walked over and took her seat.
Liam stared her up and down, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Do you even understand any of this, or did you just come to make a scene? Cheating on your husband and flaunting it, desperate for attention."
"Trying to seduce every man in sight and still chasing after Davidson—shameless."
Danielle sat upright, fixing her gaze on the stage and pointedly ignoring Liam's jabs.
Ever since she'd married Alexander, Liam had taken every opportunity to throw barbs her way. Every encounter was a new attack.
"Still pretending to be some kind of saint?" When she didn't react, Liam scoffed, "Davidson, let's switch seats. I feel dirty just sitting next to her."
Millie frowned. "Watch your mouth, Liam. Why do you always have it out for her?"
He shot back, "Am I wrong? She's exactly what everyone says she is. Can't do whatever she wants without people talking?"
Was it not?
When it came to Liam, no one ever seemed to mind what he said or did. But the moment Millie was involved, Alexander rushed to defend her.
Danielle met his gaze with a bitter smile. "Alexander, what's the point of dragging things out any longer?"
He frowned, but before he could reply, Danielle rose from her seat and strode out.
Gian quickly followed after her.
Liam pointed furiously at Danielle's retreating figure. "You're just going to let her get away with that? The two of them are making a fool of you right in front of everyone!"
"They're completely out of control!"
Danielle's footsteps came to an abrupt halt. She turned, eyes icy, and marched right back toward Liam—

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
