Liam's voice dripped with disdain.
"No wonder Millie and I nearly got the cold shoulder at Ninesky today. Turns out Gian's her new flame. That woman's got all the tricks—seduced Alex back in the day, now she's after Gian. She really knows how to get what she wants."
Millie drew her gaze away and shot Liam a look. "Man, do you ever stop gossiping?"
"What's wrong with you, spouting off like that in front of the kid? Danielle's a total knockout, but she's not that kind of girl."
"Besides, Mr. Atwood is Mr. Hawthorne's top protégé—one of the lead scientists at Blackwood Research Institute. He's not the type to lose his head over a pretty face."
Millie turned to Alexander. "Davidson, why don't you go say hi to Danielle?"
Alexander didn't seem the least bit interested in Danielle's affairs.
He glanced down at his watch and said coolly, "Let's eat first."
He looked at Raffy, his tone softening. "Are you hungry?"
"Starving," Raffy declared, clutching his dad's leg. "Can we have McDonald's tonight?"
Alexander's expression barely shifted, but he frowned. "You should cut back on junk food."
"Oh, come on, he's a growing boy," Millie laughed, pinching Raffy's cheek. "Tonight, you get to choose. Eat whatever you want."
"Mom, you're the best!" Raffy exclaimed, planting a big kiss on Millie's cheek.
She was so much cooler than his stay-at-home mom.

After dinner, Danielle and her group went to see the new apartment.
Niki had homework, so Danielle called Vivian to pick her up and take her to the villa.
The new place was a two-bedroom apartment in the school district—about 550 square feet, within walking distance of the preschool, and close to both Blackwood Research Institute and Ninesky Technologies.
It was the perfect location for both commuting and picking up Niki.
"This one's $1,200 a month," the agent said.
In Northridge City, where every square foot cost a fortune, this was a steal for such a central spot.
Danielle decided to take it. Staying in hotels with Niki was never a long-term solution.
Alexander was rarely home this early.
Whether he was there or not, she needed to get her grandmother's keepsake.
Near eleven, Danielle arrived at the house.
The place was dark—everyone must be asleep.
She pressed her thumb to the lock, but the system flashed: fingerprint not recognized.
She hesitated. Of course, she'd moved out. It made sense her access was revoked.
She pulled out her old key, slipped in through the side door, and headed straight for the master bedroom.
She grabbed the brooch and was about to leave.
Danielle pushed open the bedroom door and flicked on the light.
"Davidson, don't turn on the light, it's blinding—"
Danielle froze, heart thudding, as she saw Millie squinting in the sudden brightness, shielding her eyes with one hand.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
