To him, his daughter—and her mother—had never truly mattered.
Children's clothing store.
Danielle never denied Niki anything. No matter how tight money got, she always found a way to give her daughter the best.
The moment they stepped inside, the owner's cheerful voice rang out.
"Mr. Davidson, Mrs. Davidson, your son is so handsome! What a lovely family you all make."
"And Mrs. Davidson, you look absolutely stunning! No wonder your son takes after you."
The shopkeeper grinned, eyes twinkling. "Mr. Davidson, with a wife like yours and such a fine boy, I bet your home runs like clockwork. You're a lucky man, Mr. Davidson."
Alexander didn't bother to clarify his relationship with Millie. He spoke in his usual unhurried tone, "Millie's going to be an engineer at Blackwood Research Institute—a real leader in her field. As for the daily household things, that's what we have a nanny for."
Danielle took a deep breath and squeezed Niki's hand a little tighter.
In his eyes, Millie was destined to shine, to conquer the world.
As for Danielle's sacrifices at home—those were just a given. To him, she was nothing more than the help.
"Mama, that hurts…" Niki whispered softly.
Danielle startled and quickly loosened her grip.
Without a word, she led Niki quietly out of the store.
They'd walked some distance when Niki looked up. "Mama, is Dad going to marry Miss Millie?"
Danielle paused, at a loss for how to answer.
"Hey, freshman." Gian strolled over, a lollipop in hand. "Out shopping with Niki all by yourself?"
He handed the candy to Niki, who accepted it with a bright smile. Clearly, he'd bought it just for her.
"Thank you, Mr. Atwood!" Niki beamed.
Danielle smiled, "What brings you here?"
When Danielle tried to take some bags, Gian shook his head. Niki looked up at her, grinning, "Mom, Mr. Atwood is super strong! Let him carry them, okay?"
The three of them walked away together, laughter trailing behind them—the very picture of a happy family.
Elsewhere—
Liam delivered an invitation to Millie for Blackwood Research Institute's open house.
Millie and Alexander had just finished shopping for Raffy and were heading out of the store.
"Millie, when you visit Blackwood, try to meet more people. Don't get so hung up on Gian," Liam said as they walked. "Let's get dinner tonight. We can go over the Ninesky project in more detail…"
He trailed off, catching sight of a familiar figure up ahead.
Narrowing his eyes, he stared after her. "Isn't that Danielle? What's she doing with Gian?"
Millie followed his gaze, raising an eyebrow.
Liam turned away, a cold sneer on his lips. "Well, she moves fast. Cheating on her husband and already shopping for a new dad for her kid?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
