Danielle wasn't cold-hearted—far from it.
She had no intention of getting more involved with Alexander, but after what happened, she knew she should probably call to check in.
But she didn't.
It wasn't because she was callous or ungrateful. Danielle just understood the situation all too well. In Alexander's eyes, she barely mattered, and he'd already saved the wrong person. Calling now would only make her look pathetic. Danielle refused to throw herself at someone who clearly didn't care.

At the hospital, things were in chaos.
Millie, who'd been right on the edge, only got scraped up when she was thrown into the railing. She twisted her ankle and couldn't get up for a while, but all the real impact had been taken by Alexander and Danielle.
Alexander's injuries were much worse. His arm had scraped hard against the arena's fence, leaving a deep gash that bled heavily. There were other cuts along his forearm too, each one nastier than the last.
When Millie saw how badly he was hurt, her heart nearly stopped. She ignored her own pain, waiting outside the operating room until he finally came out, his arm bandaged tight. When they wheeled him into a hospital room, she hurried to take care of him.
After the Davidson family sent Raffy home, the boy burst into tears, telling Bianca and the grandmother everything that had happened.
Both women immediately called the hospital, desperate for news.
Millie was especially anxious, hovering around Alexander as the doctors checked his wounds.
Alexander tried to reassure them. "I'll be fine," he insisted, smiling through the pain.
Meanwhile, after Bianca hung up and learned exactly what had happened—and that her son had needed stitches—her face fell.
Alexander had been raised in utter comfort, treated like royalty since the day he was born. Aside from a few rough patches abroad, he'd never suffered—not really. This was the first time he'd ever been hurt this badly, the first time he'd needed stitches.
Bianca's voice was sharp with anger and worry. "What's wrong with Danielle? Her own husband's in the hospital and she doesn't even bother to show up?"
"She's getting more and more out of hand lately. A wife's first duty is to her husband. Alex is hurt and she's nowhere to be found—he's spoiled her so much she's forgotten her place!"
The old lady watched Bianca's outburst in silence, letting her vent.
"I can handle it."
The old lady watched him in silence, her expression unreadable.
Bianca fussed over him a little longer, then couldn't help bringing up Danielle again. "Danielle's never home. She runs around all day with Niki and even sent Raffy back. Does she have a problem with my grandson?"
"Raffy's her own son, isn't he?"
Just talking about it made Bianca angry. Lately, Danielle seemed more and more uninterested in Raffy.
"Enough, Bianca," the old lady finally interrupted, her tone calm but firm. "Raffy's back at the house. You've seen Alex, so you can rest easy. Go home and look after Raffy. And while you're at it, have the cook make some chicken soup—send it over for Alex, so he can recover."
The old lady's word was law. Bianca, still worried about Raffy being home with just the staff, finally left after another round of questions and warnings.
Once Bianca was gone, the old lady settled into the chair beside Alexander's bed.
Her gaze was cold and steady. "Tell me the truth. What really happened? I heard Millie was there too—am I right?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
