"Is that so?" Millie laughed. "Then next time, I'll be sure to pay your shop a visit, Mr. Evans."
Zane hurried over to show everyone to their seats, and Millie wasted no time, sitting herself down right beside Alexander.
Only then did Mr. Evans turn to Vivian. "Come, Mr. Linden, have a seat. And this is…?"
He looked over at Danielle, waiting for an introduction.
Danielle offered a polite smile. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Evans. I'm Danielle, Mr. Linden's assistant."
Mr. Evans paused and glanced at Danielle with renewed interest. Vivian had clearly intended to say something more, but Danielle had cut her off. He couldn't help but pay closer attention—there was no place for personal connections in business discussions, and regardless of her capabilities, at least Danielle's demeanor was professional and composed.
Once everyone was seated, Millie suggested openly that both companies discuss their proposals together, without any pretense. Danielle agreed right away.
Leanne couldn't help but sneer, convinced that Danielle and Vivian were completely out of their depth. Vivian's company was little more than an empty shell at this point, with employees fleeing left and right; the planning department barely had anyone left. There was no way they could come up with anything worthwhile.
Their company and hers weren't even playing in the same league. Leanne was eager for Alexander to see just how useless Danielle and her mother really were. What could those two airheads possibly accomplish?
The Davidson family had made a huge mistake by letting someone like Danielle marry in.
During the project discussion, Alexander remained silent, quietly sipping his tea.
Leanne presented her proposal first, outlining her vision for the future. Mr. Evans nodded along, clearly satisfied.
Then it was Danielle's turn. She stood, pulled her laptop from her bag, and opened up a 3D model for Mr. Evans to review. Her presentation was even more thorough and precise, with a well-defined strategic direction. Most impressively, while both proposals had their strengths, Danielle's included animated explanations, bringing the entire plan vividly to life and giving Mr. Evans a sweeping view of what the future could look like—the very definition of "selling the dream."
He clearly wouldn't let the matter drop without an answer.
Danielle's hand tightened involuntarily, her whole body suddenly feeling faint and unsteady. Maybe it was from staying up late the night before, or getting overheated in the sun earlier—either way, she felt the tension gnawing at her. Deep down, she already knew whose proposal would win. If Alexander sided with Millie, Mr. Evans would undoubtedly follow suit out of respect for him. Even if their plan could make money, it wouldn't matter; they'd just lose out on the bigger share.
Alexander set his cup down and smiled, unhurried. "You already know your answer, Mr. Evans. Why ask me?"
"Mr. Linden, Ms. Crawford," Mr. Evans finally addressed Danielle and Vivian, his tone measured. "We've made our decision. Your plan is impressive, but it's too much of a risk. I'm sorry."
Each word struck Danielle like a blow. Her fingers gripped her portfolio so tightly her knuckles went white. Alexander had known from the beginning that Mr. Evans wouldn't choose them. Millie's earlier confidence had made it obvious that the outcome was already decided. Now Danielle understood: the only reason they'd been allowed to present at all was so they could be humiliated face to face.
Her lips had lost their color, but she stood up, head held high, refusing to argue or beg. "Thank you for your time, Mr. Evans. I hope we'll have the chance to work together in the future."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
