Silvia glared at him and said, “I have no respect for you.”
Liam’s expression changed, but he immediately started laughing.
“Who are you to look down on me? If the other mercenaries who were on the same mission as you knew that you fell head over heels for a man, they’d laugh at you!”
“Do you think I care?”
Liam cocked his eyebrow in amusement. “Of course you don’t care. In that case, I’ll let you see how Neil saves Ada. Hahaha.”
She could not suppress the anger in her eyes. “You’re insane!”
“I’ll take that as a compliment. Let me prepare some gas. I’ll send you to hell the moment he saves her.”
After he left, the determination on Silvia’s face turned into sadness and pain.
The love in her heart slowly disappeared when she thought of how cruel Neil was toward her.
Soon, Liam and his subordinate started pouring gasoline around her. The pungent smell made her feel like she was meeting her end soon.
“I didn’t want to kill you, Iris. But someone wants you dead, so I have to follow instructions. If you want revenge, don’t come after me.”
She scowled at him. “Would an evil person like you be afraid of retribution?”
He chuckled. “Of course. Don’t worry. After you die, I’ll make sure to leave some flowers at your grave. Just think of it as an act of kindness from me.”
“There’s no need for that. I would only feel disgusted!”
Liam was not offended. He looked at her and said, “I still have other things going on, so I won’t personally see you off. After all, it wouldn’t look good when you burn to death.”
Silvia initially thought that he would quickly light her on fire. However, she waited until dusk, but nothing happened.
The Poison Pill started to take effect in her body, and she felt more pain with every attack even though she was tied up. Before long, her entire body was covered in cold sweat.
The hour felt extremely long. She started to grunt in pain and wished for immediate death.
Tears started to trickle down her face.
She thought that the pain from the Poison Pill was excruciating enough. She did not think that she would experience more intense pain.
Liam felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction when he saw her cry.
When they used to go on missions together, Silvia always managed to complete the hardest missions perfectly.
He had been jealous of her since then.
She had finally fallen off her pedestal, and he felt an indescribable sense of glee.
“Hahaha. Serves you right, Iris!”
She bit down on her lip as she glared at him. “What have I ever done, Liam? Why do you have to torture me like this?” she asked.
He looked at her and smiled sinisterly.
