Silvia kept quiet.
As she listened to Michelle, it did seem like she had gone quite far.
Since she was silent, Michelle instructed, “This time, you’ll have to go no matter what. I’ve arranged for you to go on a date with the youngest son of the Zimmerman Family. He just returned from abroad last month. While he was studying overseas, he founded a company on his own. He’s considered a successful young man in Imperial City.”
Silvia cocked an eyebrow in surprise. The Zimmerman Family?
“If I remember correctly, don’t the Zimmerman Family have a daughter named Helen Zimmerman?”
“Well, I was going to wait until the next party to introduce you to her. Do you know her?”
“We met once last night. I can’t say I know her.”
She had been thinking of a way to get even with Helen, and this opportunity just came knocking on her door.
She smiled slightly, and an idea came to mind.
“I remember her being quite nice. I plan to introduce her to Quin when the time comes.”
When Silvia heard this, she looked uncomfortable and quickly said, “Mom, you better not. Quin doesn’t like her type.”
Michelle looked at her stone-faced. “He’s thirty-three years old. It’s not a matter of whether he likes her or not. If he has a type, why hasn’t he brought someone home all these years?!”
“He probably hasn’t met someone special yet.”
“Hah. By the time he falls for someone, your dad and I might be dead.”
Silvia quickly took her arm and cheerfully said, “Mom, you and Dad are still young! You’ll surely live another thirty to fifty years. You can definitely wait until Quin meets someone he likes!”
Michelle shook her head and spoke in resignation, “Alright. That’s enough nonsense. Hurry up and change. Put on some makeup for your blind date too. Do this properly. If you cause trouble again, I won’t forgive you!”
“Okay, okay. Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll be well-prepared so that he sees how good I am. He’ll also be impressed by my beauty!”
“Just speak nicely, and there won’t be a problem.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll go upstairs.”
