In an instant, all the sounds around Neil disappeared. His gaze was fixed on George’s hostage, and his eyes were ablaze.
While Curtis was asking the manager if he had called the police for a bomb squad, he noticed Neil walking speedily toward the banquet hall.
He froze for a moment and hurried to stop him. “Mr. Remus, it’s dangerous in there!”
Neil’s expression was cold. “Get out of my way. Sil is inside. I’m going to save her!”
Curtis was shocked, but he frowned soon after. “Your wife died three years ago… Mr. Remus, the person in there is Ada.”
Neil handed him the cell phone and said, “Look closely. It’s Silvia, not Ada!”
Curtis took a look and sighed. “Mr. Remus, this is Ada.”
It looked like Neil missed Silvia so much that he had mistaken Ada for her.
“I need to get into the banquet hall!”
Neil no longer cared about Curtis’s response. He walked past him and quickly strode toward the banquet hall.
Curtis frowned and rushed after him.
Inside the banquet hall, George’s patience was wearing thin. “Where’s Neil? Why isn’t he here yet?!”
“We’ve contacted Mr. Remus. He’ll be here soon!”
George did not believe the man’s words at all and sneered. “It looks like he doesn’t care about his woman. I’ll kill her first. I never intended to leave this place alive anyway!”
As his words fell, he raised his dagger and attempted to stab Silvia.
The moment the dagger was about to pierce her chest, the lights went out.
George only felt his arm go numb. Then, he lost consciousness.
“Come with me!”
The second someone grabbed Silvia’s wrist, she heard Zayn’s voice.
