Silvia laughed and stopped teasing Neil. “I agreed to meet him because I planned to take you with me.”
He was briefly stupefied before he snorted. “That’s more like it.”
“Why aren’t you changing your clothes?”
Not only did Neil change into his best suit, but he even styled his hair ten minutes later.
Silvia asked, “Do you have to dress up so nicely? You don’t even do this when you go on a date with me.”
“Yes, I do. I’m going to meet my romantic rival today.”
She rolled her eyes at him. “You’re growing increasingly childish.”
When they arrived at the restaurant, Ryan was already there.
Ryan’s smile slowly faded once he saw them entering together. In the end, he became expressionless.
It looked like he had no idea that Silvia had gotten back together with Neil.
After she sat across from Ryan, she calmly asked, “What’s the problem with the contract, Mr. Anderson?”
Ryan frowned and answered, “This contract concerns the interests of our corporations, Miss Pond. I’m sure it’s not suitable for an outsider to be present. Don’t you think so?”
Silvia smiled. “Don’t worry, Mr. Anderson. If a problem arises with the contract, MY Corporation will bear full responsibility.”
There was a cold glint in Ryan’s eyes as he handed her the document. “I’ve marked out the problems. If you agree with me, I’ll ask my secretary to print out the revised version later. We can sign it today.”
“Okay. Let me have a look.”
Silvia quickly skimmed over the issues and handed the contract back to him.
Smiling, she said, “I’m done reading. Yes, there are some ambiguities with those areas, Mr. Anderson. Please ask your secretary to print another copy. We can sign the contract immediately after.”
Ryan chuckled. “I just want to remind you. Both of you previously broke up because you always lied to her. I’m sure she won’t forgive you again if she learns about this.”
Neil clenched his fists on the table, and the veins on his forehead bulged. “If you dare say a single word about this, I won’t let Anderson Corporation off the hook.”
Ryan laughed. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell her, but I don’t know how long you can keep it a secret.”
Neil fell silent, and his expression grew more unpleasant.
When Silvia returned, she noticed his look of displeasure. Meanwhile, Ryan was smiling and sipping tea. Since they were ignoring each other, she realized that they did not have a pleasant talk.
The grim atmosphere continued until Ryan’s secretary arrived with the document. After Silvia signed it, she said goodbye to Ryan and left with Neil.
Ryan wore a meaningful smile as he watched them disappear from his sight.
He knew that Silvia would be bitterly disappointed in Neil very soon.
