From the moment Harold met him, he’d always been the picture of a gentleman—polite, composed, unfailingly courteous.
But when it came to the issue of supply channels, Vanguard Technologies found itself in a bind.
Alexander had extended the proverbial olive branch, suggesting Harold partner with AetherX Dynamics. Given the circumstances, Harold didn’t have much choice; it was simply the most pragmatic business decision.
Danielle found the whole situation oddly amusing.
There was no need for speculation anymore—Alexander was quite openly paving the way for Millie. Everything Ninesky Technologies had, AetherX Dynamics would inevitably end up with as well. The pattern was obvious.
Danielle didn’t comment on any of it. Instead, she clinked glasses with them and drank.
She used to be able to hold her liquor, but lately, her tolerance had dropped. Tonight, she’d barely had anything before the world began to spin.
She waved them off when they noticed.
Neither Keegan nor Harold seemed intent on pressuring her to drink more.
Harold glanced down at Danielle, who was massaging her temples. “Your brother just called,” he said. “He’s on his way to pick you up.”
“Okay,” Danielle replied with a nod.
Keegan’s dark eyes lingered on Danielle as he quietly put his phone away.
“I’d planned to drive you home myself tonight,” Harold continued. “But since your brother’s coming, I’ll leave you in his care instead.”
“You’re still staying at the Emberwick Hotel, right? Let me know if you need anything—I’ll have it arranged.”
Harold was always meticulous, covering every possible angle.
Danielle nodded and thanked him politely.
“Still feeling sick? Want something to help sober up?” Keegan asked, his gaze steady. “If you can’t handle your drinks, maybe don’t push yourself next time.”
A heavy fog was settling over Danielle’s mind. Something felt off.
She’d never felt like this from drinking before.
“I’ll just have a glass of ice water, thanks,” she murmured.
Keegan flagged down a server and handed her a glass of cold water.
Danielle sipped, and the chill helped clear her head a little.

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
