"I'm skipping breakfast."
Danielle didn't reply, only pressed her lips together in silence.
In the end, just to keep her grandmother from noticing anything unusual, Alexander followed Danielle out to the car.
He slid into the passenger seat with a practiced ease. "Take us to The Davidson Group," he said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
At six-foot-three, Alexander was a giant in Danielle's compact sedan. His knees were practically pressed against the dashboard, yet he still leaned forward as if trying to squeeze himself into an even smaller space, looking as out of place as a linebacker in a child's playhouse.
"I'm not your personal chauffeur," Danielle muttered.
"Millie will be there. You need to apologize to her," Alexander replied, his tone calm but resolute.
Danielle let out a cold, sarcastic laugh. So that was the reason he wanted to ride with her—he was worried his precious childhood friend had been offended, and now he was dragging Danielle along to make amends.
If they weren't still at the old family estate, with her grandmother watching, Danielle honestly would have kicked him out of the car right then and there.
She was practically seething with frustration, ready to snap back at him, when—
"Mom…" came a small voice from the back seat. Niki, her daughter, broke the tension. "If we don't leave now, I'm going to be late."
Only then did Danielle remember that Niki was sitting behind them. She had no desire to argue with Alexander in front of her daughter, so she simply stepped on the gas and drove straight to the preschool.
Once Niki had gone inside, Alexander glanced over at Danielle from the passenger seat. "Niki's got a real talent for math. Have you thought about enrolling her in the same advanced class as Raffy?"
"That won't be necessary," Danielle replied coolly.
She could nurture Niki's gifts herself.
Her profile was icy, making it clear she didn't want to spend another second in his presence.
A sharp knock at the window interrupted them.
"Davidson! I thought that was you." Millie arched a brow, giving Alexander an appraising look. "I'm just dropping Raffy off. Are you and your wife getting along again?"
Alexander said nothing.
Millie turned her bright smile on Danielle. "Mind if I steal Alexander for a bit? We've got some work stuff to discuss today—hope that's okay."
Alexander shot Danielle a neutral glance, waiting for her reaction.
Danielle's expression was frosty; she clearly had no intention of apologizing.
"Why are you even bothering to ask her?" Alexander said, already stepping out of the car.
She looped her arm through Danielle's. "Come on, let me show you around your new kingdom."
They walked through the glass doors into the heart of Ninesky Technologies.
The place was enormous, with state-of-the-art labs and testing facilities—fully equipped for independent satellite development.
Gian turned to Danielle. "What do you think? Satisfied with your new work environment?"
"It may not be as grand as Blackwood Research Institute," Danielle replied, "but it's every bit as good as the big corporations."
"You agreed to join us. I'm the one who should be thanking you for letting bygones be bygones," Gian said.
He gave her a crooked smile. "It's not charity. You're coming in as a partner, with a stake in the company. I'm counting on you to help take Ninesky to the next level."
Kirsten rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. You two know each other inside out. Cut the mutual admiration act."
Gian laughed and asked, "Want to check out the cleanroom?"
"Absolutely."
Just then, an assistant strode over. "Mr. Atwood, Miss Fletcher has arrived."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell
Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
