Liam stared, caught off guard. “So Raffy really is their child?”
“Not necessarily,” Keegan offered, bringing up another possibility. “Maybe Millie’s desperate because the boy isn’t Alex’s. She’s clinging to anyone who might help her.”
“She’s just scared Alex will wash his hands of her,” Liam said.
There were endless theories about the whole mess. Everything now depended on Alexander stepping forward to clear the air.
The Davidson family was smack in the middle of a scandal.
“This is brutal for their reputation,” Liam went on. “Jake’s losing his mind.”
“Of course he is. His reputation’s everything—he’ll do whatever it takes to protect it.”
“And Alex? He’s not clueless.”
Alexander had made their divorce public, which meant Danielle was finally free. Could he really not have seen this coming? Was it truly just about protecting Millie’s reputation?
Liam and Keegan talked for a long time, but even after everything, Alexander’s feelings for Millie remained a mystery.
—
Once she’d wrapped up her work, Danielle headed to the hospital to visit her uncle.
His condition was a little better than before, but they all knew it wouldn’t last. Chemotherapy had helped for now, keeping the cancer from spreading, but everything hinged on an organ transplant.
Jason Gable had been in touch, following up on every lead for Danielle.
“Your dad came by today,” Vivian told Danielle as soon as she walked in.
“What for?”
“Now that he knows who you really are, he’s changed his mind about the divorce. He was all smiles, said he wanted to see you.”
Danielle let out a cold laugh. In a world where everyone’s out for themselves, reality could be pretty ugly.
Orson Crawford had always sided with Millie’s family, but now that Danielle’s true identity was out, the father who’d cheated and doted on someone else suddenly wanted to play the devoted dad again.
“So,” Danielle asked her mother, “do you still want the divorce?”
Her parents had fallen in love, then married, and for a long time, theirs was a deep bond. But after Orson’s affair, the family was never the same.
Vivian gave a frosty little smile. “I haven’t felt anything for him in years.”
“I’m already moving forward with the divorce. He begged me not to go through with it today. Honestly, seeing him grovel is almost funny. I must’ve been blind to marry him.”

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
