The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 234

Their business partner adjusted his glasses, envy flickering in his eyes. “I’ve heard Mrs. Davidson is quite remarkable herself. And honestly, you have to admit, Mr. Davidson must really love his wife—pouring hundreds of millions into this venture, making such a spectacle out of it. He just snaps his fingers, and a whole new company springs up.”

Hundreds of millions—

Even Danielle, used to big numbers, couldn’t help but feel a jolt of shock at the figure.

This was a full-scale operation—a tech giant in the making.

It could soon rival Cloudpath and would easily outsize Ninesky.

“They’ll probably announce it soon, start headhunting.”

Gian’s expression darkened as he listened.

Of all possible moments, Alexander had chosen now to launch something of this scale.

It was a direct challenge to Ninesky.

Ninesky might be the rising star, but it was still a lone wolf in the industry.

But this new company, launched under Newsworld, wouldn’t have to fight for scraps. It would have first pick of all the best resources.

After they’d said goodbye to their business partner, Gian slammed the contract down on the table, his face cold.

“Just what is your ex-husband trying to do? It’s obvious he’s trying to go head-to-head with you.”

Danielle had been fighting off a head cold all day. Her mind was a fog, stuffed with too much information. She braced her hands on her knees, bent over and rubbed her temples, forcing herself to sort through everything and keep her thoughts clear.

Her voice came out hoarse: “It’s fine. In tech, it’s all about innovation and talent.”

He could throw all the money in the world at this—without groundbreaking technology, there was no guarantee of success.

But if Alexander was determined to make this new company thrive, then thrive it would.

And as for this Mrs. Davidson their partner had mentioned—it was obvious.

Millie.

Alexander was starting a company for Millie. Danielle felt nothing about that; she even found it expected by now.

But the part that stung—

In tech, things could move at breakneck speed—or drag on for years. Sometimes a single breakthrough took a decade.

“Newsworld already has Cloudpath, a company in the same space. Now they’re launching another, just for Millie—and to go up against you. What’s he playing at?”

Danielle pressed her lips together.

“Cloudpath produces commercial software. AetherX Dynamics will be focused on research and development. It’s a division of labor.”

If they did it right, they’d dominate the market in no time.

Gian couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

Danielle stood, looking down at him with calm resolve. “Gian, what’s there to be afraid of?”

“If Alexander wants to back Millie and put on a show, then we’ll just have to tear down the stage he builds for her.”

She’d take on any fair competition.

Whatever didn’t destroy her would only make her stronger.
