Raffy had never seen her as a mother, so of course he hadn't called her to come.
Danielle followed Gian inside.
They made their way to the Sentinel Group's check-in area. After registering her name, Danielle set down the pen and glanced up—just in time to see a large group sweeping into the lobby.
Right away, her gaze landed on Alexander at the center of the crowd, tall and sharp as ever, with Millie by his side.
People clustered around them, all eager for a moment of their attention.
A company representative from Sentinel Group came forward to greet Alexander personally.
He swept a cool, indifferent glance in Danielle's direction, then looked away as if she were just another face in the crowd.
Danielle, unfazed, shifted her gaze as well—only to catch sight of the bracelet adorning Millie's wrist, a string of gemstones in every color.
She paused, recognizing it instantly. It was the bracelet she and Raffy had made together. Each stone had been carefully polished by her own hands.
She looked away, her expression unreadable.
Something she'd crafted with love alongside her son—a gift now gracing Millie's wrist.
The irony stung.
Neither her husband nor her son had ever truly cared for her. To them, she was nothing more than a housekeeper, summoned at their convenience and dismissed just as easily, her feelings never a consideration.
"Miss Fletcher, that's quite a unique bracelet," someone nearby remarked, sharp-eyed.
After all, it was clearly handmade by a child—each bead expensive, but the overall design a bit peculiar.
Millie smiled graciously. "My son gave it to me for Mother's Day this morning."
"Wait, you have a son already? Are you married?" a few people exclaimed, surprised. No one had ever heard any news of her marriage.
Millie offered a polite smile. "I'd rather keep my personal life private, if you don't mind."
Gian's brow furrowed as he glanced at Danielle.
"Let's go," Danielle said, unfazed. "We should take our seats."
She paid the little drama no mind, but around them, conversation was already buzzing.
Alexander had been appearing everywhere with Millie lately—since her return to the country, he'd made sure she was seen at every major event, building her reputation and widening her network. Thanks to him, Leanne's company had secured a string of lucrative deals.
Anyone with eyes could guess the nature of their relationship. But since the couple hadn't made anything official, no one dared to pry.
Gian's voice was low and grim. "They're flaunting it so shamelessly, and you just let it slide?"
"Why not just announce Mrs. Davidson's true identity?" he pressed. "It would settle everything."
Everyone assumed Millie was Mrs. Davidson, but if they discovered she was nothing more than a mistress, what would they say then?

Where is Chapter 545 - 554? I thought there'll be 9-10 chapters per update....
I knew it! He’s in love with her but he thinks she loves his brother!...
Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
I'm already in chapter 432 ATM and I have the impression that the story is so slow. Daniele remains in the dark, her reputation is low and inexistent, her accomplishment and professional abilities are stiĺl hidden, her enemies are taking the joy in humiliatihg her. No evolution in the plot? Please don't stay long in this, readers might lose interest in the long run....
Please update...
The last chapter was too short. More pls. Thank you....
Lovin' this. More more pls!...
