Anderson Corporation almost went bankrupt because of Silvia, so he would not give up.
At 8 p.m., Ryan found himself in Imperial Palace’s fanciest room.
“Ryan, you and Neil are good friends of ours. I don’t want to meddle in the problems between you two. After all, helping one of you would upset the other.”
Besides, David thought that Ryan was at fault this time.
Even if he was madly in love with Silvia, he should not have meddled in her relationship with Neil.
Ryan’s expression was cold. He turned to Henry, who had been silent, and asked, “You won’t help me either?”
Henry seemed a bit awkward. After a while, he replied, “I can help you with certain business dealings. But if Brooks Corporation invests one hundred billion dollars, we risk bankruptcy. Why don’t you apologize to Neil? We’re friends after all. I’m sure he won’t take it too far.”
Ryan sneered. He picked up a glass of wine and drank it all in one go.
“Fine. We’ve been friends for so many years, but you two refuse to help me. In that case, there’s no reason for us to keep in touch anymore!”
With that, he left.
Henry wanted to go after him, but David stopped him.
“David, do you really want to get into such a serious fight with Ryan?”
David appeared indifferent. “Even if you go after him, do you have a hundred billion to lend him?”
Henry froze and fell silent in embarrassment.
“This whole thing’s his fault in the first place, but he can’t see it. On top of that, he expects us to risk our companies to help him by using our friendship as leverage. Doesn’t that seem too much?”
Henry scratched his nose and found that Ryan had indeed crossed the line.
As soon as Curtis finished speaking, Neil glanced at him coldly. “Are you telling me how to handle things?”
Curtis quickly shook his head. “No, that’s not what I meant. I just hope that you’ll think about it carefully.”
“I’ve thought about it. You can leave.”
Seeing that Neil had made up his mind, Curtis did not insist further. He could only hope that Anderson Corporation would not make a comeback and become a strong competitor in the future.
Once Curtis was gone, Neil set aside his documents in displeasure.
Curtis had a point. If it had been another company, Neil might have driven it into bankruptcy. However, he and Ryan had been friends for many years, so he showed some mercy.
