Mr. Remus, Your Billionaire Wife Wants a Divorce novel Chapter 609

“Back then, you promised me that you wouldn’t meet up with Ada anymore. But not long after, I saw her by your side!

“Then, I almost died in a fire. When I asked you who saved me, you lied and said that it was a fireman. I believed you, and what happened? Chris almost died because of it!

“Earlier on, I went to great lengths to heal your legs, and you agreed to the divorce. It took me more than half a year to realize that you deceived me with a fake divorce certificate!

“Neil, you’ve lied on numerous occasions, and you played me like a fool every single time. Since you enjoy lying, why don’t you do it for the rest of my life?”

Neil had nothing to say when he faced Silvia’s questioning gaze. He felt really hurt too.

Right then, he finally realized what he had done to her.

He claimed to love her, but all he did was make her sad.

“I’m sorry, Sil.”

His eyes were red, and he appeared to be ridden with guilt. It did not look like he knew how to redeem himself.

Silvia closed her eyes and slowly said, “It’s time that we let each other go. Those three years of marriage have long exhausted my expectations of love. We should have stayed clear of each other. Unfortunately, you made me fall in love with you all over again just to break my heart.”

As soon as she said this, Neil wrapped her in his arms.

“Sil, I’m sorry. I know that I’ve wronged you. I’ve never been considerate of your feelings, and I’m an *sshole. But I really love you. Give me one last chance.”

His voice was trembling by the end of his speech, but Silvia only pushed him away gently.

“I’m tired. I don’t want to keep guessing when you’re lying and when you’re telling the truth. I don’t trust you anymore, Neil.”

She opened the car door and left, but Neil was frozen like a statue. He sat motionless for a long time before he ordered the driver to go back.

Silvia decided to give Dulcie a call at 8 p.m.

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll divorce him this time. He’s lied to me too many times, and I can’t trust him anymore.”

When Dulcie saw how sad her best friend was, she felt upset too. She picked up a bottle of wine and said, “I’ll drink with you! This time we won’t let that piece of scum off the hook!”

In the end, both of them got so drunk that they could barely walk.

Dulcie used the last bit of her sobriety to dial Ethan’s number.

“Ethan, could you pick me and Silvia up?”

As soon as she said this, she heard a gentle female voice on the other end. “Miss Reed, Mr. Hearth had a last-minute reception tonight. He drank too much, and I sent him home. I’m afraid he can’t pick you up right now.”

Dulcie immediately snapped out of her drunken stupor!
