“Obviously I was afraid that you wouldn’t be able to concentrate on work!” She had a stern look on her face. If he had not seen the guilt in her eyes, Neil might have actually believed her.
“I’ve finished all my work for today, and I’ve been waiting for you to come back.”
Silvia was speechless.
Noticing her silence, he chuckled and whispered. “Silvia, a businessman doesn’t go back on his word.”
She gritted her teeth and looked at him with annoyance. “Who told you I was going back on my word?!”
“Since you’re not, change into this.”
When he handed her a bag, Silvia finally realized that she had fallen into a trap.
“Neil, you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?!”
She glared at him, but her ears turned red.
Neil nodded and admitted unapologetically, “Yes. This is what you promised me.”
The two of them exchanged looks for a moment before Silvia snatched the bag out of his hand. “You’ll have to wait till tonight!”
“Remember to change into it before dinner.”
The only response he received was a door slammed in his face.
Neil left after he looked at the closed door and smirked.
Silvia only sighed in relief when she heard his footsteps getting further away.
She blushed as she looked down at the sexy spaghetti strap dress in her hand. She cursed herself for having a momentary lapse in judgment and agreeing to wear that dress during dinner.
There was no turning back now. If she did not wear it at night, she had no idea what else Neil would come up with.
However, the thought of wearing something so revealing filled her heart with shame.
Silvia walked slowly, and just as she reached the stairway, Neil stepped out of the kitchen with two bowls.
The first things he saw were her fair, slender legs. His breathing instantly grew a little heavier.
He moved his gaze further up and frowned when he saw the shawl, which was tightly wrapped around her body.
“Sil, I don’t recall the shawl being part of our deal.”
Silvia was mortified as she gritted her teeth and said, “Neil, don’t cross the line!”
He placed the bowls on the table and gradually approached her.
With every step he took, Silvia felt an increasing sense of danger.
“Don’t you come any closer to me!”
