Mr. Remus, Your Billionaire Wife Wants a Divorce novel Chapter 522

Chris glared at him and hissed. “Aren’t you worried that I’ll tell Silvia about it?”

Neil narrowed his eyes before he glared back at him and said, “Even if you tell her, she still won’t fall in love with you. On top of that, you won’t be able to bear the consequences of doing so!”

With that, Neil released him and left.

Chris stared at him until he was no longer in view.

When Neil returned to his car, his expression was cold. He only started his car after a long time passed.

His heart had actually pounded in a panic when Chris threatened to tell Silvia the truth about the fire. He felt like he was about to lose her.

He had gone through far too many things with Silvia, and he would not let her go again no matter what.

Suddenly, he recalled the medical information she had looked up. Was it related to Chris?

He gave Curtis a call and sternly said, “Find out why Chris Rios is hospitalized. Also, check if he met Silvia while I was away on my business trip.”

Curtis acted quickly. Once Neil returned to Elm Bay, he received an email notification.

He read the email, and his expression turned dour.

His guess had been correct. Silvia had looked into those things because of Chris!

If she discovered that Chris was hospitalized after saving her, she would never forgive herself.

Neil’s gaze turned even colder, and he called Curtis.

“Look for craniotomy experts within and outside the country. Hire anyone who can operate on Chris Rios no matter how much money it costs, and do it quick!”

However, Silvia simply looked at him with a straight face “What explanation can you possibly offer? Are you going to tell me why you met Ada, or why you lied to me?”

When Neil saw the indifference in her eyes, his heart stung. After he kept quiet for a moment, he said, “I was wrong for lying to you. I’m sorry. I met Ada to tell her that I won’t be taking her calls or meeting her anymore.”

Silvia’s expression did not change. “Do you believe what you just said?” she asked in a calm voice.

“I’m serious.”

Silvia smiled bitterly. “If you are, why did you lie to me?”

“I was worried you’d be angry.”

“Me? Angry? What have you been doing over the past half a year? Didn’t you think I’d mind whenever you picked up Ada’s calls? Whenever you met her in the hospital, didn’t you realize that I’d be sad? You knew, but you still went. To you, the favor that the Remus Family owes her is more important than my feelings, isn’t it?”
