Ada froze for a moment before she angrily said, “How could he say that?! You’ve done so much for this family over the years. Without you, this family wouldn’t even exist!”

“What should I do, Ada? I can’t bring myself to apologize to Silvia.”

She would rather die than do that.

Ada held her hands and comforted her. “Mom, don’t worry about it for now. Let me think of a solution. If there’s no other way, I might have to urge you to apologize as well.”

After she comforted Mindy, Ada returned to her room and felt utterly drained.
