Chapter 88
My eyes widened in shock. It was only now that finally understood what place this bar really
was.
No wonder the waiter reminded us to lock the door, and no wonder they accepted only male- female pairs for dinner. It turned out to be the place to get insane and wild.
Quinn’s face flushed red and flashed with a flicker of embarrassment.
“I–I never knew it’d turn out this way. My friend said it’s just a bar with a great ambiance…”
My head felt like it was about to explode. This place had way too much ambiance!
With all the provocative noises around us, who could possibly stay sane? I was starting to lose control now, coupled with the effects of alcohol.
“Let’s get out of here now.” I got up to leave, but Quinn grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
“Max, do you want to leave me here alone?”
She looked at me with dazed, dreamy eyes. Now, she was a drastic change from her usual fiery self, exhibiting a mixture of shyness and seduction.
She wanted to meet my gaze, but was too embarrassed to do so, and that contrast hit me hard.
“I–I…”
“Max, am I not beautiful to you?” She pulled me down beside her and locked her eyes
mine.
“You are… but…”
“No buts. Kiss me, okay?” She closed her eyes and leaned in with a flushed face.
My mind went completely blank, and in that moment, I lost all reason.
With that, we kissed.

Being surrounded by those intense moanings and with the burning–hot Quinn in my arms made it impossible to stay rational.
Before long, the kiss got to both our heads, and our clothes were removed layer by layer.
Quinn was stunning. Her beauty wasn’t just in her appearance, but everything about her was intoxicating to the touch. I knew that I could no longer suppress the fire raging inside me.
Everything was moving forward naturally until my phone suddenly rang.
My sharp ringtone snapped me out of it, and I jolted upright to pull away from her.
Quinn seemed to have snapped back to reality, too. She was blushing very hard when she

“1”
“Y–You should take the call,” Quinn mumbled, not daring to look at me.
I replied with a hum and picked up the phone.
“Hello. Is this Mr. Wexler? Please come to the hospital immediately. Someone is claiming to be
a family member and trying to take your sister away.”
My mind buzzed. “What! Stop her! I’m coming right now!”
Family member? It’d always been just me and Tory; we had no other family.
Sophia wouldn’t do something like this either. If she’d visited the hospital, she definitely would have given me a heads–up.
