Chapter 97
Kieran’s face darkened even more when he heard my words. He was used to the life of a rich
heir. There was no way he wanted to become a loser.
“You want me to help you, but you must have conditions, right? What exactly do you want me
to do?” he asked.
His question only made me more sure that he would agree.
“It’s simple,” I explained. “You’ll marry Camille and take charge of the Layton family. We’ll keep things respectful. We won’t mess with each other. We each run our own businesses, and peace reigns. How does that sound?”
Naturally, I was lying to him. If Kieran really ended up with Camille, the Laytons‘ downfall
would be sealed.
Kieran asked, “Is it really that simple?”
I replied, “What else do you think it could be?”
He stared at me for a long moment, then still chose to believe me. “Alright! I’m in! What do I need to do?” Kieran agreed.
I smiled. “I’ll create the opportunity for you, but how are you in bed? Camille said that Desmond is useless when it comes to that.”
Camille was particular about that kind of thing. At the very least, Kieran had to be good enough to impress her.
Kieran bragged, “That woman begs me to go easy on her every time. You tell me if I’m strong
or not.”
I nodded. “Alright. As long as you’re confident. Just wait for my signal. But this stays between us. Don’t let anyone else hear about it. If Camille or Benson finds out, you know what’ll happen.” I knew he understood, but I reminded him anyway.
“Don’t worry. I’m not an idiot!” Kieran snapped angrily.
Kieran was my key move. I couldn’t make Benson regret the marriage, but Camille was a
different matter.
After all, a woman addicted to luxury wouldn’t be too concerned.
Besides, I didn’t believe that Desmond really liked Camille. Their marriage was just a business deal. With my plan and Kieran as my tool, how could we fail?
Next, I sent someone to keep a close eye on Camille’s every move. Soon, news came that Desmond had arrived in Brinestone.
“He’s finally here,” I muttered, then called Kieran before bringing Sophia along.
“Come on. Tonight, I’m taking you to watch a show,” I told her.
Sophia blinked in surprise. “A show?”
I nodded. “Yeah, a really good one!”
Her eyes lit up immediately.
We soon arrived at our destination. Walking into the hall, I glanced around and spotted Camille and Desmond sitting by the window.
