Chapter 34
The new neighborhood project in Northborough was very far away from Layton Group, and it took about an hour and a half to drive there.
Camille was forced to take on the project. With Benson personally supervising the work progress, she didn’t dare to skip out.
Without her pestering, I finally welcomed a hard–earned moment of peace. Then, I heard someone knocking on the door, and Natasha came in with a contract.
“Mr. Wexler, please sign this document.”
I took it and leafed through the pages. Then, she spoke up once more. “Mr. Wexler, Mr. Ziegler has just secured a collaborative partner, but they specifically said they wanted to meet you.”
“Huh?” I was a little surprised, and I asked in a puzzled tone, “Did they mention why?”
Natasha shook her head. “She said the collaboration is off unless you see him in person. Mr. Ziegler values it very much. Based on what he said, it’s a collaboration that our company has tried and failed to close the deal on for a long time.
“That was why he asked my help to ask you about it. If you’re fine with it, he’ll make a
reservation at a hotel for this afternoon.”
“Alright.” I nodded and asked, “What project is this?”
Natasha looked at the files and responded solemnly, “It’s a collaboration with Solstice Global
Estates.”
I looked up suddenly, startling her. She stared at me curiously and asked, “What’s the matter, Mr. Wexler? Is that a problem?”
A familiar name flashed in my mind–Quinn was Solstice Global Estates‘ CEO.
Taking a deep breath, I said, “Tell him that I’ll help him with this project.”
At 5:30 pm, I parked my car in front of Riverlands Hotel’s entrance. With the serving staff leading me, I arrived at the private room on the second floor.
The moment I opened the door, a familiar figure appeared before me. It really was her.
Quinn sat by the window, gently swirling a glass of wine. When she heard the door opening,
she raised her head and looked at me at once.
Every single expression on her face was irresistibly seductive. Sticking her lean finger up, she gently beckoned me over. “Over here, handsome. I told you, we will meet again.”
I walked over calmly and took a seat. Quinn poured me a glass of wine and pushed it to my of the table. With her glass between her fingers, she swirled it gently.

When she raised lier gaze and looked at me, there was a subtle hint of flirtiness in her eyes.
“You’re a heartless man.”
“What did I do?” I raised the wine glass and took a sip.
Quinn deliberately touched my hand and smiled gently. “You kept me waiting for a long time.”
Lowering my head, I checked my watch and shook my head innocently. “I wasn’t late.”
“I’ve been waiting for you to contact me, but you didn’t even give me a phone call. Thus, you’ve been sentenced to a drink.” Quinn gently tapped the glass, looking like she wouldn’t quit until I did what she said.
Lifting my glass, I finished the wine in one gulp.
