Still Your Dog? No, I'm Gone novel Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Byebye.

Even when Quinn stepped out of the car, I was still reeling. Who would have thought this seductive, wild lady was the CEO of Solstice Global Estates!

Though the Laytons were one of the top familles in Brinestone, they didn’t come close compared to Solstice Global Estates.

But why would Quinn be mingling around with Camille?

I hadn’t believed a word she said earlier, but now, I did. She really wasn’t the same type as

Camille.

Breathing in the lingering scent she left behind in the car, I started the engine and drove straight to the hospital.

On the way, I received a barrage of messages from Camille.

Bastard, what are you two doing right now? Did you sleep with her?

I’m warning you, you’re not allowed to have sex with her! Pick up your phone!

You mutt! You’re not answering, and that bitch isn’t either! What the hell are you doing behind my back!

I glanced at the texts and chuckled to myself. Sure enough, Quinn had seen right through

Camille.

Still, I knew Camille wasn’t going to let me off easy. Tomorrow would be hell.

Sure enough, she arrived earlier than I did the next day. She was probably furious that someone else got to toy with her plaything.

What the hell did you do last night?she questioned angrily as she dragged me into the

office.

Nothing,I answered honestly.

Why didn’t you pick up the phone then?

I was too tired, so I fell asleep.

You slept with her, didn’t you!Her face flushed red in rage as her eyes locked me in a death stare. It was as if she wanted nothing more than to bite my head off.

I didn’t respond.

Out there, she showered me with endless insults and treated me with disdain. But behin closed doors, she wished to conquer me instead. It seemed that only by conquering me could

she satisfy her twisted, controlling urges.

Get out! Get the hell out!she screamed and kicked me out of the office, while I was more than happy to leave.

The rest of the workday soon elapsed, and surprisingly, Camille never came after me again.

That evening, I was about to clock out when I received a call from Benson. Come to the villa tonight, Max. There’s a party.

And don’t forget to bring Camille.

I gave a short reply and approached Camille to relay the message. She shot me a venomous glare but got in the car without protest.

On the way, her cold eyes never left me.

I had no idea what was on her mind, but I didn’t care. There were 17 days until the contract ended anyway.
