Rejected Luna Returns with Secret Twins (Lysandra) novel Chapter 107

Chapter 107

How dare she bear another man’s children!I roared, completely unable to control the rage boiling through me.

Varian lunged for me, grabbing my arms from behind just as I was about to demolish my desk.

Tristan, calm down,Varian urged, voice tight with strain as he fought to restrain me. I told you before. They’re not

yours.

I wrenched free at his words, spinning to face him. The statement only fueled my fury, sending it to heights I’d rarely experienced.

Tris-

He stopped midword, eyes widening as he took in my face. The bloodred of my irises had completely overtaken the blue,

my wolf pushing dangerously close to the surface. Immediately, he lowered his gaze, instinct forcing submission.

Alpha,he murmured, taking a step back.

How fucking dare she!I slammed my fist into the wall again, plaster spraying across my office. A week’s worth of thoughts and suspicions spiraled through my mind. All the hope and fear now shattered with this DNA report.

I thrust out my hand. Your phone.

Varian’s face went pale. Tristan, I don’t think calling her right now is wise-

Give me your fucking phone!I commanded, unleashing the power of my Alpha voice, forcing his compliance.

He immediately handed it over, and I jabbed at Lysandra’s number, adrenaline making my fingers tremble.

The phone rang three times before she picked up. Beta Varian? Her voice was laced with confusion.

Why did you do it?My voice came out cold and dangerous.

Silence stretched from the other end of the line.

How could you, Lysandra?I growled, my wolf stirring beneath my skin, eager for release.

I don’t want to speak with you any-she began.

I ran a DNA test,I cut her off. I have the results.

Wwhat?Her voice suddenly tightened.

So you were telling the truth? You actually fucked someone else during our marriage? My laugh held no humor. You shameless woman. Now I know you’re a Ravencroft princess, but how will you explain your behavior to the world? What will you do when the entire werewolf community learns about your promiscuity?

The phone went silent for a moment, then her voice turned calm and icy. I’m glad you did the DNA test. Now that you know the truth, please stop bothering me and my children. If you believe I betrayed you in our marriage, then you should be happy we’re divorced. Accept reality, Tristan, and stay away from me.

Chapter 107

How dare you tell me-*

But she’d already hung up.

I snarled, nearly smashing Varian’s phone against the floor. Instead, I tossed it back to him and grabbed my suit jacket, heading for the door.

Where are you going?Varian called, tension lacing his voice.

To hell,I answered, my tone low and dangerous. Want to come?

He stayed silent, wisely knowing not to follow.

I stalked over to my driver, hand outstretched. Keys.

Alpha, I don’t think you should be driving in this state-he began.

Keys!My Alpha voice echoed down the office hallway.

He immediately handed them over, fear written across his face.

I gunned the engine out of the parking lot, tires screaming against asphalt. Thoughts raced through my mind. Her children weren’t mine. So whose were they? Who dared touch my Luna? Who left her with twins five years ago?

Maybe Kieran, I thought, gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles went white. Or worseAlaric. Her own brother. No, that’s impossible. Even in my darkest imaginings, I couldn’t believe she would commit such a crime.

But if not them, then who? She said it was a onenight stand. A man whose name she didn’t even remember. The thought made me sick. My Luna, a daughter of an Alpha family, spreading her legs for some nobody, then fleeing my territory carrying his seed.

Deep inside, my wolf howled, wanting to find this mystery man and tear out his throat. But how would I ever know? If DNA showed I wasn’t the children’s father, then I was left with only one choiceaccept that Lysandra betrayed me during

our marriage. But it felt wrong. This whole thing felt wrong.

Lysandra’s voice echoed through my head, repeating over and over until I couldn’t think straight. That woman was destroying my sanity piece by piece. If this continued, I’d lose everythingmy position, my pack’s respect, my fucking

mind. All because of her.

A dark thought crawled into my consciousnesswhat if she simply disappeared? The relief I might feel if she were goneMy wolf snarled violently against the idea, nearly making me swerve off the road.

Right. I’d almost forgotten that primal truthshe was still my mate. The rejection ceremony severed the legal bond but not that deeper connection my wolf refused to relinquish.

If I’d understood then what I know nowthe torment she’d put me throughI would never have agreed to the ceremony. I would have kept her bound to me forever, punishment enough for what she’d done. She would have stayed my Luna, trapped in a cold marriage for eternity.

My fingers tightened on the wheel. She wouldn’t escape me this easily. Not anymore.

I pulled up outside a dimly lit nightclub, parking right at the entrance. I strode inside, making directly for the bar, seeking temporary relief.

Strongest you’ve got,I told the bartender, who slid over a glass of amber liquid. I downed it in one go, feeling the burn

Gown my theost

A scent drifted through my senses, familiar and enticing, catching my attention. I turned toward it, seeing her a woman with chestnut hair. For a moment, my heart stopped. Lysandra?

That’s not Lysandra, Varian’s voice came from behind me.
