Once silence returned to the office, Neil put the document down and slowly closed his red eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek.

He leaned his forehead against his arms in exhaustion.

It had been almost half a month since Liam set Silvia on fire, but Neil had yet to accept it.

He leaned back in his chair with his eyes closed for a long time. Then, he grabbed his coat and left Remus Corporation in a hurry.

Only a few people attended Silvia’s funeral. They included Dulcie, Winston, and a few employees from MY Corporation. None of the Pond Family members came.

Hugging the funerary urn, Dulcie’s eyes were red as she cursed, “How ungrateful of the Pond Family! Sil should’ve never gone back to them. Neil too! When Liam caught Sil and Ada, he asked Neil to pick one to save, but Neil picked that b*tch, Ada! I never want to see him again!”

Winston’s eyes were bloodshot too as he subconsciously clenched his fists.

Both of them turned around and saw Neil standing at the door. He looked put together as if Silvia’s death had no effect on him.

Dulcie gritted her teeth. “Get lost! Don’t disgust us!”

Great fury and hatred engulfed her at the thought of Neil abandoning Silvia and killing her for Ada. She would have slapped Neil to vent her anger if they were not at Silvia’s funeral.

Neil ignored her. He walked up to Winston and stared at him. “What about the Hundred Poison Pill?”

He had no idea that Silvia had been suffering every day.

At some point, there was a downpour. Neil staggered into the rain in a desolate and pathetic manner.

After the funeral, Dulcie and Winston buried the urn in a cemetery plot that they had bought. They stood there a while before they left.
