“Alright. I got it.”
After he ended the call, Alan looked out the window and sneered. “They’re just a bunch of Rios Corporation’s underlings. They think they can play tricks while I’m away. I won’t let them get away with it when I return!”
Meanwhile, Neil had just finished a virtual meeting with an overseas collaborator when he received Flint’s call.
“Mr. Remus, I heard that Rios Corporation has stopped targeting Remus Corporation. But your company has suffered some losses recently. Are things manageable?”
Neil knew that Flint was checking if Remus Corporation could continue working together with them. “Don’t worry, Mr. Ramirez. My company won’t be affected by the loss of a few collaborations,” he said coldly.
“That’s good. If you need any help, feel free to contact me. After all, we’re business partners now, and I don’t want any unexpected issues in our collaboration.”
“Thanks, but I can handle it myself.”
Following the call, Neil checked on Rios Corporation’s activities and frowned.
According to his plan, Rios Corporation would only stop messing with his company after Flint exposed its scandal. It would be too busy dealing with said scandal. Yet, why did it stop targeting Remus Corporation so soon?
While Neil was lost in thought, his phone rang.
Seeing that it was a call from Ada, he declined it and blocked her number.
However, Ada was persistent. She sent him a text using another number.
[Neil, I know that you don’t want to see me again. I just called to tell you that Silvia’s been meeting a man several times these past few days. Although I was far away when I spotted them, I managed to take a few photos. I’ve already emailed them to you.]
Neil’s expression turned cold. He quickly opened his email and found the photos Ada had sent. His grip on the mouse subconsciously tightened.
The photos were not clear because they had been taken from a distance. Nevertheless, he could still tell that they were of Silvia and Winston sitting in a coffee shop.
“I don’t want to overthink it, but I don’t understand why you have to meet him so often!”
“Neil, I have my own friends and activities to do in my free time. I’ve just been meeting him casually. If that bothers you, there’s nothing much I can do about it!”
With that, she ended the call.
Neil tried calling again, but Silvia did not pick up.
He got up and left the office in dissatisfaction.
“Get the car ready. I’m going to see Dr. Russell!”
An hour later, a black Maybach stopped before Winston’s clinic.
