They Want Me Back When It's Too Late (Jessica and Brian) novel Chapter 326

Chapter 326

Let’s go to Sandia, Dad. I still want to see the ocean, and I can collect pretty shells as gifts for Mom.Jacob flipped through a few pages before making his decision.

Alright.Brian didn’t care where they wenteverything was up to Jacob.

After settling on the destination, Brian started arranging his schedule.

At the same time, he made sure to let Jessica know.

This time, he was smarter. Instead of showing up in front of Jessica, he wrote her a letter telling her where he was going.

Qn Saturday, Jessica didn’t find the familiar lunch box in her mailbox. Only then did she suddenly remember that Brian was traveling with Jake today, so naturally, he couldn’t deliver her meals.

Jessica closed her mailbox without expression and turned to unlock her door. But something caught her eyea gleaming fruit knife lying at her doorstep.

She instinctively stepped back and slammed into the mailbox behind her.

The impact sent a sharp pain through her body, and worse, she felt her chest tighten as breathing became difficult.

Jessica doubled over, struggling to catch her breath. She managed to unlock her door with shaking fingers and stumbled inside, searching desperately for her oxygen tank.

She collapsed onto the sofa, oxygen mask pressed to her face, and stayed there for four or five minutes before she could breathe normally again. Finally, she gave herself up and returned to retrieve the knife from her doorway.

She couldn’t leave it thereit would scare the neighbor or the cleaning lady.

After handling everything, Jessica felt utterly drained.

That’s when Madeline’s message popped up on her phone. [Jessi, my knife set broke and I need to buy new props. What brand did you and Brian use? Send me some recommendations!]

The message came with a bunch of shopping links for various knife sets.

Jessica’s grip tightened around her phone. Brian, this is the woman you chose!she thought bitterly.

Madeline’s boldness made Jessica wonder if Brian had made her new promises. Did he really think this would keep her quiet and obedient?

How naive. Madeline’s ambition knew no bounds, and she wouldn’t settle down until she had Brian’s ring on her finger.

The more Jessica thought about it, the worse her mood became. Her face turned cold as she typed back angrily: [Want to know? Ask Brian directly.]

She added: [And stop messaging me. Unless you want/everyone to know you got pregnant before marriage and became someone’s mistress, you can keep texting.]

Madeline really thought she was easy to push around. If she dared to keep bothering her, Jessica wouldn’t mind helping spread the word about her

situation.

After sending that final message, there was no response from Madeline for a long time.

Jessica didn’t care. She casually blocked Madeline and tossed her phone aside.
