“So what brings you here, Dr. Finch?” Jessica asked, pouring him a cup of coffee.
Wesley handed her the bag. “It’s nothing really. I was a bit worried when you didn’t attend the clinic yesterday.
“I got off work early today, so I thought I’d drop by and check on you. I picked this up when I was getting cat food for Tres–figured I’d Cee if Pancake bea it.”
Jessica took the bag with a smile. “Thanks, Dr. Finch. Something came up yesterday, so I couldn’t make it. I planned to stop by the clinic after work today, but you beat me.”
“What a coincidence.” Wesley chuckled.
They chatted casually for a while before Wesley made his excuses to leave.
As he was about to go, though, his gaze drifted toward the direction where Sana had disappeared earlier.
“Sana’s probably still busy with work. Did you want to say goodbye to her, Dr. Finch?” Jessica asked, noticing his glance.
“No, that’s okay.” Wesley looked away, feeling somewhat embarrassed by his own behavior.
He’d already gone out of his way to find an excuse to see her, yet Sana seemed increasingly distant toward him.
He couldn’t bring himself to chase after her again–that would be too pathetic.
Wesley shook his head, pushing the messy thoughts aside. After giving Jessica a few more reminders, he stepped into the elevator.
The moment the elevator doors closed, Jessica turned around. “You can come out now. How long are you planning to hide back there?”
The plants behind her rustled slightly, and a few seconds later, Sana emerged from behind the greenery in her business suit.
“Jessi, when did you notice me?” Sana looked genuinely embarrassed.
“Right from the start. Only Dr. Finch didn’t spot you since this is his first time here and he’s unfamiliar with the layout.” Jessica rolled her eyes.
Sana kept her head down, saying nothing.
Jessica walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. Remembering the weird tension between them outside the office earlier, she asked with concern, “Did you two lovebirds have a fight? How long has this been going on?”
“No way!” Sana practically jumped out of her skin. She and Wesley were definitely not a couple!
Jessica wasn’t buying it. “If nothing is going on, why are you freaking out?”
Sana opened her mouth, then closed it again. After a long pause, she still couldn’t figure out how to explain her situation with Wesley–or rather, she didn’t want to tell anyone the truth about what had happened between them.
If she did, Jessica would take her side and encourage her to work things out started anything.

That night had been a complete accident. It would be unfair to force Wesley into a lifetime commitment because of her mistake.
Jessica watched Sana’s face cycle through a dozen expressions, becoming more convinced than ever that her suspicions were correct. “Still trying to come up with a good lie?” she teased.
Sana felt trapped. Finally, she stamped her foot in frustration. “I said no, and I mean no!” She spun around and stormed off.

Chapter 352
Jessica watched Sana’s retreating figure and shook her head, though she wasn’t worried. From today’s Interactions, Wesley clearly cared about a while Sana seemed more carefree. Given that dynamic, Jessica didn’t need to worry about hurting Sana.
In good spirits, she pulled out her phone and arranged to meet Wesley
the next morning.
Dr. Finch: [Sounds good.]
The reply came quickly. Jessica was about to put her phone
