Chapter 353
Taking advantage of Sana’s stunned silence, Wesley grabbed her wrist, pulling her into the corner. Even after they stopped, he didn’t let go,
“Sana, we need to talk.” Wesley held her wrist with one hand and placed the other on her shoulder, his tone deadly serious.
The warmth of his touch burned through the fabric, jolting Sana back to reality. She stepped back quickly, putting distance between them while freeing
her hand.
Sana said, “There’s nothing to talk about. Don’t touch me.”
‘God, I almost blushed. Sana’s heart raced as she silently took another step back.
Wesley watched her retreat, torn between frustration and amusement.
He immediately stepped forward, closing the gap again.
Sana instinctively backed away, forgetting the wall was right behind her. She was about to collide with it when
“Careful!” Wesley’s eyes widened in alarm. Without thinking, he reached out to protect the back of her head, pulling her into his arms.
“Whoa-” Employees leaving work noticed the scene unfolding like something straight out of a drama. They couldn’t help gawking, their eyes sparkling with gossip–hungry excitement.
Sana snapped out of shock from nearly colliding with the wall. She looked up to find herself practically surrounded by an audience. She was mortified.
Taking a deep breath, she grabbed Wesley’s wrist and dragged him toward the building exit.
Minutes later, they sat across from each other in the nearest coffee shop.
Sana had deliberately chosen the most secluded corner table to avoid running into anyone she knew.
“Am I really that embarrassing to be seen with?” Wesley couldn’t help asking.
“Whether you’re embarrassing or not has nothing to do with me,” Sana shot back, still fuming.
Wesley’s mouth turned down at the corners, watching her desperately try to distance herself from him.
“Look, you’re the one who said we needed to talk. So say whatever you want–I need to get home.” Sana’s voice was clipped with impatience.
She really didn’t want to be alone with Wesley any longer. The whole atmosphere felt weird and awkward, especially with the way he kept looking at her with those wounded, reproachful eyes, as if she’d somehow wronged him.
But honestly, she hadn’t done anything wrong.
Wesley took a deep breath, pushing, aside his tangled thoughts, and looked at her thoughtfully.
He said, “Ever since you left that morning, I’ve wanted to see you again. Especially after you unfollowed me–that really messe Instagram posts, the ‘accidental‘ phone calls–I was just trying to get your attention.”
Wesley was an excellent psychologist, so he was naturally aware of his own psychological changes.
After nearly half a month of self–observation, he had reached his conclusion.
my head. All those
“Why are you telling me all this?” Sana grew increasingly uncomfortable as she listened, instinctively lowering her head to avoid his gaze as she mumbled her response.
