Chapter 319
Madeline’s face turned livid as she watched the call she’d made get hung up again,
She wanted to call Jessica back, but then saw Brian’s handsome profile on Twitter’s homepage, along with tweets about his deep love for Jessica. She almost lost her mind from anger.

Jessica had divorced Brian, yet they still appeared online together frequently. The thought of this made Jessica ignoring her calls even more infuriating.
“Bitch, why don’t you just die?” Madeline cursed angrily, then didn’t hesitate to call Jessica again.
She couldn’t bear it anymore. She had to meet Jessica immediately–otherwise, Jessica and Brian would become model lovers in the nation’s eyes. Then, even if Madeline succeeded in stealing Brian, she’d gain a bad reputation, which wasn’t what she wanted.
For her own bright future, Madeline had to make Jessica disappear from Brian’s life completely.
Meanwhile, Jessica, who had just finished using her oxygen tank, felt annoyed by the constant calls. She hung up again without hesitation, but new calls kept coming.
After several repeats, she answered impatiently. “Madeline, what the hell do you want?” She really wanted to use the newly obtained documents right
now.
“Jessica, you’re such a busy person,” Madeline said sarcastically with heat in her voice. “I called so many times before you answered. Do you think I’m not worthy to talk to you?”
Madeline’s irritated sarcasm made Jessica laugh. “I didn’t force you to call me.”
Madeline had been harassing her, yet she got angry first without Jessica losing her temper. Jessica thought it was ridiculous.
Madeline said in a low voice, “But I have to make this call. You and Brian are being praised so highly by netizens, I can’t pretend not to see it. Do you know how sick I feel lately?”
Jessica suddenly clenched her phone, but her tone remained flat. “What does that have to do with me?”
She hadn’t forced Brian to buy her things or let others take photos and post them online. She’d done nothing, not even exposed Brian’s affectionate
facade.
Jessica believed she’d been a qualified ex–wife, and Madeline, as the mistress, had no right to accuse her.
“Jessi, you are as calm as ever, but I can’t stand it anymore. Let’s talk in person.” Madeline’s voice turned cold at the end.
“Finally stopped pretending?” Jessica scoffed. She thought Madeline could pretend a bit longer.
Madeline chuckled coldly. “It’s hypocritical to pretend we’re close now. Jessica, if you don’t want me to tell Brian you see a psychologist, meet me at this
café this afternoon.”
Jessica asked unpleasantly, “Are you threatening me?”
Madeline said with a hint of pride, “You can think of it that way. Anyway, if you don’t come, I’ll go to Brian.” Then she hung up directly.
Jessica gripped her phone tightly, her stomach aching from anger. She’d underestimated how shameless Madeline could be.
Despite her reluctance, Jessica went out that afternoon. As soon as she entered the café, she saw Madeline by the window sipping coffee. She frowned and said, “It’s best not to drink coffee during pregnancy.”
Madeline’s hand holding the coffee froze, but she quickly put it down nonchalantly and greeted Jessica with a smile. “You, a second–time pregnant woman who could only rely on yourself. Of course you know more than me.”

Chapter 319
Ignoring the sarcasm, Jessica pulled out the chair beside her and sat down. She looked at Madeline and asked directly, “What do you want to say?”
Madeline seemed taken aback by her directness, her smile stiffening for a moment. She quickly adjusted, took her designer bag, and sighed, “When did you become so impatient? Since you asked, I’ll get to the point.”
Madeline pushed over fake property deeds, luxury car purchase documents, etc., she’d prepared.
She said, “These are properties and cars Brian bought for me, costing more than thirty million dollars. For the record, I’m not here to show off.”
She continued, “I just want to tell you about this in advance so you won’t do anything stupid after finding it out and blame me.”
Madeline thoughtfully flipped through the documents for Jessica to see clearly.
Looking at the high–end neighborhoods and luxury car brands listed, Jessica felt deeply disappointed.
Brian actually bought properties for his partner. In ten years with him, he’d never voluntarily bought her a house or car. All the money she spent in the Atkinson family was under Brian’s name.
Although these became joint property after marriage, legally obtained assets were totally different from those given voluntarily by her beloved man.
“Jessi, are you mad?” Madeline said. “I didn’t want these at first, but Brian said I needed more prenuptial assets to avoid being looked down on by other Atkinson family members. He also said after marriage, his assets would be mine, so these are nothing.”
