Halsey looked up-Shaun was here.

What was he doing here?

Shaun strode over to stand right in front of her and Gilbert. His icy, sharp gaze locked onto Gilbert’s hand, which was still gripping Halsey’s arm tightly.

Shaun sneered, “Mr. Greenwood, do you not understand English? Halsey told you to let go of her!”

Gilbert smirked at him. “Maybe you don’t understand women. This woman says no with her mouth, but her body wants it. Even though she’s telling me to let go, she actually means she wants me to hold her tighter. Right, Halsey?”

Halsey felt thoroughly disgusted. “You’re crazy!”

“I’m giving you three seconds to let go of her right now,” Shaun growled.

“You’re ridiculous!” Gilbert said. “Who do you think you are, telling me how to handle things with Halsey? We’re both single adults, and whatever we do is our business. You have no right to interfere!”

Shaun stared Gilbert down, his eyes burning so fiercely it was like he was boring holes in Gilbert’s face. “I do have a right. Halsey is carrying my child. She’s the mother of my baby.”

Gilbert opened his mouth to say something, but Shaun had already started counting down.

“Three, two, one…”

The next moment, Shaun’s fist connected squarely with Gilbert’s face.

Gilbert let go of Halsey’s arm and stumbled back two steps, crashing into the edge of a table. He touched his face-Shaun had drawn blood again.

Shaun was known for being ruthless, whether as Dwight back then or as a rising star now.

“How dare you hit me!” Gilbert barked.

Shaun felt that he had gone easy on Gilbert. If he hadn’t held back, Gilbert wouldn’t have lasted a second.

Shaun grabbed Halsey’s wrist.

“Come with me.”

He pulled Halsey toward the exit. Before leaving, he stopped right in front of Gilbert, sneering, “Watch out next time. I’m sick of seeing you! I’m going to punch you every time I see you.”
