Before long, Shaun’s kisses moved from Halsey’s lips to her cheek, then to her graceful neck, while his hands started wandering.

Halsey opened her eyes and pushed him away sharply.

Shaun’s eyes were bloodshot with desire as he asked hoarsely, “What’s wrong?”

“What are you trying to do? Didn’t you say you didn’t have any feelings for me? Didn’t you say we were done?” Halsey said.

Shaun looked at her. “I did say that, but you’re the one teasing me! You’re the one who tempted me!”

“I tempted you, and you just fell for it? So if I tease you, you can’t say no?”

Shaun said nothing. Deep down, she probably already knew the answer-why ask if she didn’t want to hear it?

Maybe she just wanted him to say it out loud so she’d feel better.

He was just that kind of guy-if she twitched a finger, he’d fall right in.

“Cat got your tongue?” Halsey asked again.

Shaun pulled her close and kissed her again.

Halsey struggled, not cooperating.

Shaun pinned her against the door, flipped her over so she was facing the wall, and kissed her with burning passion.

Halsey protested, “Stop!”

Shaun grabbed her skirt.

She quickly reminded him, “I’m still pregnant!”

The word “pregnant” snapped Shaun back to some sense. He buried his face in her hair, breathing hard.

“I’m a man. When you tease me like this, of course, I’m going to react.”

“What if it was someone else?” Halsey asked. “What if Elise tempted you?”

Shaun stayed silent.

She turned to face him. “Why won’t you answer me? If someone else tempted you, perhaps your secretary, would you fall for it too?”

Shaun grabbed her small hand, pulling it toward his crotch.

Halsey quickly shook it off and said, “No!”

Shaun didn’t reply, but unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants.

Halsey’s face flushed bright red. He really had no shame!

She turned her face away, refusing to look, but Shaun pressed her hard against the wall and kissed her fiercely.

When it was over, Halsey’s legs went weak, and she could barely stand. Shaun hadn’t touched her beyond the kiss; he just pleasured himself while kissing her.

Still, the whole scene was so steamy. Shaun was drop-dead gorgeous—with such a handsome, rich, and fit man in front of her, Halsey had to feel something, no doubt.

Halsey slid to the floor, but at the next moment, Shaun reached out and scooped her up. He carried her into the bedroom and gently laid her down on the soft, big bed.

Then he headed to the bathroom, and Halsey heard the sound of running water. He must be taking a cold shower.

Her cheeks burned as she buried herself under the covers. Tonight had completely spun out of control.
