Rejected Luna Returns with Secret Twins (Lysandra) novel Chapter 94

Chapter 94

Tristan’s POV

Go,I barked at my driver the moment I slammed the car door shut. The sound echoed through the vehicle like a gunshot, matching the explosive rage pounding inside my chest. My fingers clawed at the leather seat beneath me, threatening to tear through the expensive material.

My phone vibrated. Varian. I tossed it onto the seat beside me without answering. I didn’t need his questions or his concern right now. What I needed was silence and distance as much distance as possible between me and that fucking yacht.

The memory of Lysandra’s words on the deck sliced through me again. Why don’t you marry her, have children with her? And leave me alone, As if I was the one who kept pursuing her. As if I was the one who couldn’t let go.

I exhaled sharply, my breath fogging the window beside me. The lights of Moonshade territory blurred past as we accelerated toward the border, each mile putting necessary space between me and her.

That woman should live her own life with her cubs and their father. I was done caring. Done wondering. From the beginning, she’d been playing me. First, she engineered that ridiculous prophecy to marry me. Then she pretended to love me. When she couldn’t control her desires, she warmed someone else’s bed. Then she accepted the rejection ceremony and ran away with children. Now her Alpha family acted like I was the one who hurt her?

My phone buzzed again, this time with Selene’s name flashing on the screen. I powered it off completely and threw it back onto the seat, harder this time.

The car’s interior felt suddenly suffocating. I loosened my tie with a rough jerk, almost tearing the silk. Open the window,I ordered, not caring how the command sounded.

The cool night air rushed in, carrying the scent of pine and winter berries

of her.

Moonshade scents. Even that was a reminder

My driver’s phone rang. He glanced at me in the rearview mirror, hesitating.

It’s Beta Varian, sir,he said cautiously.

I rolled my eyes. Of course it was. Put him on speaker.

Tristan, where are you? Are you okay?Varian’s voice filled the car, tension evident in every syllable.

How old am I? Five?I snapped back.

No, but you left the party with your eyes blazing red. You even left me and Selene outside.

Take her back to Silverblood Pack.

Where are you? Aren’t you coming back to the territory with us?

I rubbed my temples, feeling a headache building. I’ll be back soon.

Look,Varian’s voice softened, don’t let Alpha Caspian get to you. He’s her father, after all-

Chapter 94

“I wasn’t the one who signed the papers first,I cut him off, rage bolling over. She did. She’s no saint. She had another man’s children!

Tristan, you need to calm down. I can come meet you-

No,I ended the call with a sharp gesture to my driver. Take me to the Black Moon Hotel at the border.

The man nodded silently, probably relieved to be free from witnessing any more of my explosive mood. I leaned back, closing my eyes, but found no relief in darkness. Instead, I saw her face those green eyes boring into mine, that purple dress hugging curves I’d once known by heart, the casual dismissal in her voice when she suggested I marry Selene.

Without my permission, my mind spent the entire night thinking about Lysandra. She didn’t leave my thoughts for a second.

I’d barely rested, trapped in dreams of purple silk and green eyes that morphed to glowing violet.

this level of discomfort. This was something else?

I sat up, pushing tangled sheets away from my body. My head pounded, though I hadn’t drunk nearly enough to justify

something that felt dangerously like longing.

After a quick shower, I checked out and headed back to Silverblood territory. I needed to get back to work, to lose myself in Alpha responsibilities and forget everything about last night.

In the car, I made the mistake of checking my phone. Moonshade Pack’s announcement dominated every news feed images of Lysandra in that damned purple backless gown smiling between her parents. That dress had perfectly showcased her body. The way the fabric clung to her curves, exposing the smooth expanse of her backI growled and tossed the phone aside.

Sir?My driver’s voice snapped me from dangerous thoughts. Would you like to stop for coffee?

No, just get me back to-My words died in my throat as I spotted something through the OW.

A small figure stood in the middle of the road ahead, chestnut curls gleaming in the sunlight. A little girl, turning in circles, eyes redrimmed, clearly lost.

Stop!I shouted, panic surging through me before I could it.

The car hadn’t fully stopped before I flung the door open, Alpha protective instincts overwhelming rational thought. As I approached, recognition hit me like a physical blow. I knew this child.

Lyra.

Uncle! Her face transformed the moment she saw me, breaking into a brilliant smile that showcased tiny dimples. Those unmistakable green eyes so like her mother’s sparkled with recognition and relief. Without hesitation, she ran toward me, small arms wrapping around my leg. I knew it was you! I smelled you!

A wave of warmth flooded through me, my wolf rumbling with satisfaction. This little girl consistently brought me peace, just like when she’d answered her mother’s phone that night.
