By late morning on the third day, Phoebe suddenly received a call from Cora. “Ms. Greene, when are you coming back? A lot of documents have piled up, and the other shareholders are starting to complain.”

Phoebe pressed her lips together and said, “Bring the documents to the hospital. I will sign them, and you can take them

back.”

“Alright, I will head over now,” Cora replied.

In less than half an hour, Cora arrived.

Phoebe arranged for the caregiver to watch over things and call her if anything happened before stepping away to meet

By the time Phoebe finished signing all the documents, an hour had passed.

“Cora, thank you for your help these past few days. I may need to stay in the hospital a little longer. If it is not an urgent document, you can sign it on my behalf,” Phoebe said.

“Alright.” Cora nodded.

After Cora left, Phoebe turned and walked toward Declan’s hospital room.

Just as she reached the door, she saw a group of doctors and had woken up.

Phoebe was about to approach when Jennifer’s soft voice rang out from the middle of the crowd. “Alright, Dr. Robinson, I have noted everything down. I will make sure Deck follows all of it properly.”

Phoebe had been the one guarding Declan all this time. Torsten found it odd that Jennifer had taken her place.

However, since it was a personal matter, Torsten did not ask. He simply nodded and prepared to leave.

As he turned, he noticed Phoebe standing behind the nurses, a flash of surprise crossing his eyes. “Ms. Greene, you are back. Mr. Richardson has regained consciousness.”

Phoebe nodded and was about to speak when Jennifer suddenly cut in. “Dr. Robinson, Deck just woke up. Too many people in the room might make it hard for him to breathe. You should all leave now. If anything happens, I will notify you immediately.”

“Alright,” Torsten replied.

After he left, Jennifer finally felt relieved. Ignoring Phoebe completely, she turned to Declan with a gentle gaze. “Deck, are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?”

Declan smiled softly. “I am not hungry. Jennie, you should go get some rest.”

When he first woke up, the first thing he saw was Jennifer keeping watch outside his room. Yet, after looking around, he did not see Phoebe anywhere. A strange feeling settled in his heart. He was not sure if it was disappointment or something else.

Later, Declan learned that Jennifer had stayed by his side for three days and nights without rest. He felt both touched and guilty, but at the same time, a sense of resentment toward Phoebe grew within him.

Stepping forward, Phoebe said calmly, “Now that you are awake, I will be leaving”

She hesitated for a moment but ultimately decided not to tell him about his leg injury. It would be better to wait until he recovered a little more.

Declan remained indifferent, acting as if he had not seen Phoebe at all. He gave no response.
