Very soon, the police showed up at Bianca’s door. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, she called Scott on her way to the police station. “Scott, I’m being taken to the police station. You gotta get me out.”

“What were you thinking?! You should have just returned the dress and been done with it, but no, you had to ruin it on purpose. Are you out of your mind?!” he shouted.

Bianca looked aggrieved, her eyes welling up with tears as she said, “It’s just a dress. I’ll pay her back.

“But she got close to you when I wasn’t around—I just wanted to teach her a lesson. How was I supposed to know she’d be so vicious and call the police?!”

As Scott remained silent, looking upset, she started to panic. She grabbed his sleeve and said, “Scott, don’t be mad.

“I was just afraid you’d actually fall for her–that’s why I did it. If you don’t like it, I’ll stay far away from her from now on, okay?”

After a long pause, Scott finally said sternly, “Go home. I need to think about what to do.” At noon, seeing no other way, he called Declan.

After hearing the full story, Declan said coldly, “I can’t help you with this.”

Scott immediately said, “Declan, I’ve never asked you for anything. Just help me out this time, will you? Bianca can’t afford to have this incident stain her record. Just set up a dinner with Phoebe—that’s all I ask!”

“Just this once,” Declan replied. “But you should really think about breaking up with Bianca. She’s just going to bring you down.”

Near the end of the workday, Phoebe received a call. She glanced at the screen, saw it was Declan, and declined it. Declan called a few more times, but when she continued to ignore it, he eventually stopped.

However, when Phoebe left the office after work, she spotted Declan’s car parked near the building. She walked over and looked at him coldly through the window. “What do you want?”

“Get in the car first,” said Declan.

With Miracle Youth employees leaving work all around them, Phoebe hesitated for a few seconds before opening the door and getting in.

She sat as far from him as possible, her sharp, clear eyes fixed on him, completely devoid of emotion. “You can speak now.”

“Scott wants to have dinner with you,” Declan said.

Phoebe frowned and glared at him. “And you agreed?”
