Phoebe gazed at Jennifer with cold eyes, her expression indifferent. “You don’t have the right to ask me that.”
With that, Phoebe turned around and headed upstairs.
Jennifer’s icy voice rang out behind her. “Stop right there.”
Phoebe smirked, glancing back at her with a look of pure mockery. “Wow, you really are the boldest homewrecker I’ve ever met.”
Jennifer’s face turned dark with a bit of guilt as she stared at Phoebe. She then announced, “Deck loves me. No matter what tricks you pull to stay in this house, he will never love you. If you have any dignity left, just divorce him.”
‘She better disappear completely and never bother Deck and me,‘ Jennifer thought bitterly.
Phoebe arched her brows and nodded casually. “Sure. Hey, why don’t you give me 15 million dollars? I’ll divorce him right
now.”
Jennifer’s eyes narrowed, and she snapped through gritted teeth, “Haven’t you taken enough money from Deck these years? Don’t get too greedy.”
“You’re the one desperate for me to leave him. If you’re so in love with him, isn’t it worth some money?” Pheobe said with a
sneer.
“You-!” Jennifer was enraged.
Phoebe’s eyes gleamed with ridicule as she added, “Guess your so–called love isn’t worth much, after all. Can’t even cough up 15 million, huh?”
Jennifer was about to retort when she caught sight of a figure at the top of the stairs. Her expression shifted in an instant, turning soft and pitiful.
“Pheebs, it’s not that I don’t want to give you the money,” she murmured, her voice dripping with regret. “But if Deck finds out, he’ll be upset.”
Phoebe tilted her head and replied, “If you don’t tell him, he will never find out.”
Jennifer hesitated, and before she could come up with an answer, a cold voice cut through the air. “Phoebe, I was wondering how you planned to scrape together 15 million. Turns out you were hoping to make Jennie your personal ATM.”
Phoebe met Declan’s sharp gaze, completely unfazed. “I figured Jennifer would be more than happy to pay, so I gave her the opportunity.”
Jennifer clenched her dress tightly, her eyes flashing with resentment as she realized they were both ignoring her completely.
She feigned innocence and asked, “Deck, what 15 million are you guys talking about? If Pheebs really needs money, I can lend it to her.”
Phoebe shot Jennifer a knowing look, but before she could respond, Declan cut in, his voice flat. “This has nothing to with you. If she asks you for money again, just say no.”
Phoebe sighed inwardly. Without the money, she didn’t want to waste time with Jennifer, so she turned and headed for her room, ready for a nap.
Just as she brushed past Declan, he suddenly grabbed her wrist. Leaning in, he murmured, his voice low and dangerous, “Try asking Jennie for money again, and even if you get that 15 million, I still won’t divorce you.”

Watching their seemingly intimate gesture from below, Jennifer clenched her fists, her eyes reddening with frustration.
Phoebe yanked her hand back and took a step away. She replied with an icy tone, “Got it, but try not to get so close to me next time. I don’t do well around idiots.”
Declan’s eyes darkened with warning. “Phoebe, don’t push me.”
Phoebe didn’t even look at him. Without another word, she walked into her bedroom and slammed the door, even locking
Declan stood there, his gaze fixed on the door, his expression stormy.
“Deck…” Jennifer’s soft voice pulled him back to reality.
He turned around and strode downstairs. Seeing Jennifer at the door, he asked, “Why are you here so early?”
Sensing the irritation in his tone, Jennifer bit her lip and stammered. “I was worried about you, so… I came to check on you. I didn’t know Pheebs would be here. If I had, I wouldn’t have come.”
Declan’s frown deepened, and he replied, “Jennie, you know, Phoebe is my
wife.”
