Chapter 69
[Elianna is so delicate. Even when people are picking on her, she doesn’t get mad and still apologizes. I’m really starting to worry about how shall fare from now on.]
Someone spoke sense here.
(I don’t think that girl did anything wrong. If her words aren’t sexual rumors, then what is?)
That one comment instantly set off a wave of backlash from Elianna’s fans.
[You have a filthy mind. No wonder everything looks dirty to you.]
[Her words were perfectly fine. You’re the one twisting them into something bad. Are you just here to smear Elianna?]
[Haters, get out of our livestream now.]
Elianna had been in showbiz for years. While she’d never won any major awards, she had managed to bag a few minor ones along the way.
Her acting skills were above average, and the TV dramas and movies she starred in drew an audience, helping her build a solid fanbase.
“I’ll let it slide this time,” Skylar said. She had no intention of turning the show into a battlefield on the very first day.
Elianna hurried off with her phone.
Everyone gathered at Elianna’s place, where the director first had Skylar introduce herself.
“Hey everyone, I’m Skylar Lambert,” said Skylar.
[Lambert? No way. Is she related to Freya?]
[It’s just a coincidence. Just because she’s a Lambert doesn’t mean she’s the heiress of the Lambert family.]
[Yeah, not just anyone can claim ties to the Lambert family.]
Expecting Skylar’s appearance on the show would stir up online speculation about her background, Freya had people ready to monitor and flood the
comments.
Freya watched with a smug smile as the live chat filled with mean comments about Skylar, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
She was the only rightful heiress of the Lambert family. No one else could claim that title.
After Skylar got acquainted with the other guests, the director had them collect their assignment cards.
Each task card was worth a different number of points. The more tasks they completed, the more points they earned and the more rewards they could redeem.
The production team allowed contestants to pick as many tasks as they wanted, as long as they could get them all done.
There was another way to earn points by selling the items they collected. They needed three dollars to redeem one point.
In rural areas like this, it was impossible to make a fortune by seiling goods. Since they were not professionals, they’d be lucky to dollars a day. So honestly, it was much more cost–effective to just do a few more tasks for points.
Victor left the decision to Skylar.
Skylar picked out a few mountain–based tasks.

Chapter 69
Keeping them all in one area saved them from running around everywhere.
There was a lot of valuable stuff in the mountains. She planned to use some for her tasks and sell the rest for extra points.
Victor glanced at Skylar and asked, “Skylar, the mountains are crawling with bugs. We might even run into wild boars. You’re not scared, are you?”
Skylar shook her head. “Not at all. You scared, Victor?”
Victor said, “Me? Not a chance.”
