Chapter 15
Valerie was somewhat surprised that Raymond actually called her voluntarily.
She was busy last week.
Immediately after, the sound of Raymond gritting his teeth came from the other end of the phone.
“Valerie, are you having fun playing hide and seek? Does watching me almost go crazy trying to find you give you a sense of
accomplishment?”
“Do you know how hard I have been trying to find you these days? I had people searching all over the country and still couldn’t locate you. It’s like you disappeared from my world as if evaporated. I couldn’t eat or sleep properly because of you, and, where were you? You ran off to another country without even giving me a hint of your whereabouts. Valerie, how could you be so heartless.”
The man’s voice was hoarse with a hint of madness, as if he would jump out of the phone in the next second.
Valerie felt inexplicably cold and said, “Are you the heartless one? I know everything you did to me. Isn’t leaving you the most correct choice?”
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone before Raymond awkwardly said, “I was wrong about those things, but

you are mine. You promised to stay by my side for a lifetime. How could you silently leave my world? I’ll give you one day to come back, then come back to me.”
“Don’t worry, I no longer like Kaylani. I will not have any contact with her in the future. I will only be sincere to you for the rest of my life.”
Valerie chuckled and said, “Raymond, I just realized how shameless you are, making mistakes and still acting so self-righteous.”
After finishing speaking, without giving Raymond a chance to react, she hung up the phone directly, and then sent him a one-stop service for deletion and blocking.
She used to think Raymond was just paranoid, but now it seems he is also a selfish guy who treats her as his possession. Even though he hurt her, she cannot hold a grudge.
She used to be blind, actually liking someone like that.
After receiving a call from Raymond, Valerie’s good mood for the day was instantly ruined. However, she didn’t want it to affect her work, so she forced herself to approve all the documents on her desk.
On the other end, the temperature around Raymond, avho had just been hung up on, instantly dropped. He squinted at the call log and said darkly, “Valerie, you know, I always get what I want. Even if you run to the ends of the earth, I will find you and bring you back.”
