Chapter 21
When Valerie woke up, she found herself locked in a dark room, with her body tied to a chair and unable to move.
At that moment, the door was opened and Kristian walked in triumphantly, followed by Raymond.
Valerie’s face changed dramatically as she looked at Raymond in disbelief.
“Raymond, when did you meet him…..”
“Don’t get me wrong, I am not an ally with him. I just made a small deal with you and her, Kristian looked down at her, with a dangerous glint in his eyes.”
Raymond frowned and gave him a disapproving look.
“Is this what you meant by helping me get Valerie back? What I want is for her to come back willingly, not be forced back.”
Kristian rolled his eyes in exasperation.
“You don’t even look at what you did to her. Even if you forced her to death, a normal person wouldn’t willingly come back.”
“Anyway, I have already brought her back to you as agreed, so you must also abide by the agreement and give me the company of the Hibben Group located in St. Louis.”

Raymond’s face turned pale as he pulled out a contract from his pocket and handed it to Kristian.
“Take it away.”
After glancing at the contract, Kristian showed a satisfied expression and patted Raymond on the shoulder, saying, “I’ll give you one last piece of advice. If you want to keep a woman, you need to give her ties, and children are the best ties. If you want to keep her by your side completely, let her have your child.”
After saying that, he turned and left.
In the dim room, only Valerie and Raymond were left. The room was spacious, but Valerie felt suffocated.
She watched Raymond warily.
“Raymond, I no longer love you. Even if you make more efforts, I will not change this fact. I advise you to calm down, let me go, and not do things you shouldn’t do, otherwise I will lose respect for you.”
In her memory, Raymond had always been very concerned about his reputation, and the most unacceptable thing for him was to be looked down upon. Otherwise, he would not have worked so hard to take over the Hibben Group to prove himself just because Kaylani looked down on his illegitimate child status.
She believed that Raymond would not give up his so-called dignity for her.
