The Real Legacy Was Heartbreak novel Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Raymond frowned.

“How is that possible? I personally sent someone to bring her here. She must be here. Did you forget to record it?”

“Sir, this is not a small matter, how could it be possible to forget.”

Raymond still didn’t believe it, he took out the evidence of when he had brought Valerie to the prison, but the police still shook their heads

and said she wasn’t here.

Raymond was unwilling to accept it and wanted to go inside to find someone himself, but he was stopped by Melvin. “Mr. Hibben, there is something I have never told you. In fact, the day we brought Valerie here, she was kidnapped. That day when I called you, Ms. Levine said you didn’t like her and didn’t want me to tell you. Later, they took my father and threatened me not to tell you about this.”

“Now that my father has been found, I am no longer under her restrictions, and I can finally tell you about this.”

Melvin carefully observed Raymond’s expression, and when he saw that he was about to explode, Melvin was so scared that he knelt down and begged for mercy.

“Mr. Hibben, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. Please forgive me.”

Raymond’s face darkened as he snapped, “Shut up and send someone to search for Valerie’s whereabouts immediately. She must be found

and brought back to me!”

Melvin nodded shakily and then got up to go take care of things.

Raymond scratched his head irritably and called Valerie on his phone.

“Sorry, the user you are trying to reach is currently on another call. Please try again later.”

He made twenty phone calls to the other party in a row, and the results were all the same. He cursed under his breath and then opened

Valerie’s WhatsApp to send her a message.

“Valerie, where did you run off to?”

A glaring red exclamation mark suddenly appeared on the chat interface, Valerie had actually blocked him.

Raymond’s world seemed to come crashing down, and he stood frozen in place for a moment.
