"Here's a report!" A major from the Intelligence Bureau rushed over to Jack.
"General Grayson, a top-secret military order has been issued regarding defense mobilization!"
Jack took the document and was startled by what he read.
It outlined a large-scale defense operation.
Lord Southmere had resurfaced and taken the position as the commander in chief.
The land, sea, and air forces were scheduled to conduct winter live-fire drills together.
The Twelve Great Warriors of Dragon Soul had been reassigned—stationed at key defense zones along the eastern and southern coasts, as well as in four primary mainland regions, each serving as a commander.
Veteran officers such as Martin, Steven, Hunter, and Wilson had all been summoned to the central command center, awaiting further instructions.
Departments handling logistics, public affairs, foreign relations, and other critical sectors had also been fully activated.
That urgent, top-secret order had been executed under strict confidentiality—an unmistakable sign that major conflict was on the horizon.
The arrangement was made that way because they were still awaiting a specific outcome.
As Jack scanned the order, he shivered with excitement. "Thank goodness you made it in time, Mrs. Monroe! We managed to stop just in time—if not, we might have made a grave mistake.
"Seems like we've only earned 2 stars because we still lack foresight.
"Flint, Spike, all of you, take a look at this top-secret order!"
Veterans like Flint, who had spent decades in the military, immediately grasped the significance of the order.
That was preparation for a brutal confrontation. The sheer strength behind it could shake half the world.
Jecintha glanced at the Twelve Great Warriors of Dragon Soul, all of them in their 60s, yet still standing tall and fearless like in their youth.
A trace of relief crossed her tired expression.
She patted Flint, Franco, Spike, and others one by one and said, "With you all here, the backbone of this land will never break.
"When you first served under the Dragon Lord, you were all young and full of fire. Now, even at this age, you're still as reckless as ever.
"No wonder Levi found it so hard to leave you all behind. Before he departed, he specifically asked me to keep an eye on you and make sure you didn't act on impulse."
Flint and the others quickly straightened, looking guilty. "We apologize! We were too reckless.
"But Master Ramsey is missing, and we haven't heard anything about him. We can't help but worry!"
Jecintha nodded, her face full of concern. "I understand. I feel the same way.
"You're frustrated seeing Master Ramsey struggle alone, unable to step in and help.
"Each of you holds a military post, yet all you can do is watch as he faces danger without being able to intervene."
Jack sighed. "Twenty years ago, Master Ramsey barely survived. Shadow took him under his wing and transformed him into the formidable Divine Drakebane.
"Now, with Master Ramsey's whereabouts unknown, how can we just sit and do nothing?"
Jecintha chuckled. "You all know Shadow well. Even if every one of you joined forces, you wouldn't stand a chance against him.
"It's been 10 days since Master Ramsey's disappearance, yet Shadow has made no move. What does that tell us?"
A realization dawned on Spike. "It means Master Ramsey might still be alive!"
Jecintha smiled lightly. "Exactly. If something had truly happened to Master Ramsey, Shadow would have wiped out every force attacking Snow Valley by now.
