Twelve days had passed since the Snow Valley incident in the Ugonland Borealis.
Everything remained as calm and composed as it had always been in Draconia. Life was still busy and running smoothly. Everything remained as usual—living and dreaming.
Sensitive folks would realize that Draconia's higher-ups were secretly making a significant move. No one felt the ripples more than the people of Harmonfield, especially the Dunns and the Wrights.
Since Robin's incident, Shirley had been wandering on Harmonfield's Central Avenue in a daze. Passersby spat and cursed at her. Her peers slandered her name. Some rascals longed to take advantage of the once-revered "goddess of Harmonfield".
Fortunately, Amber, Daphne, Rita, Vera, Raymond, and Jonah stood by her side, shielding her. Shirley, who was in excruciating pain, was saved from being abused by persons with malicious intentions.
Even so, it was impossible to guard against everything. There were moments when furious middle-aged women would break through and beat her.
The Dunns Group had become the symbol of evil capitalists in the eyes of the Harmonfield people.
Tears streamed down as countless voices screamed in protest. If it weren't for the ruthless exploitation of capitalist scum like the Dunns, they wouldn't be battling at the bottom of society.
Immediately afterward, Martin and Freya were reassigned in secret. At the same time, Brookhaven's wealthy tycoon, Carson, quietly vanished from public view.
Then came the eleventh day after the Snow Valley incident. Henry was officially relieved of his position as the mayor of Harmonfield and ordered to report to the capital promptly.
This series of subtle changes quickly caused widespread speculation among those who tend to analyze the situation. Among them, one theory spread faster than the rest. The downfall of the Wrights and the Dunns was all because they were too close to Robin.
In Brookhaven and Harmonfield, anyone affiliated with the Wrights or Dunns was considered an outcast. It didn't take long for the so-called righteous faction in Harmonfield to cut all ties, establishing distinct borders.
Now, all they needed was for someone to step forward and give the rallying cry to kill them, and the crowd would swarm.
Beyond the so-called righteous crowd of elderly men and women raising their fists for justice, some scoundrels who lingered on Central Avenue every day to insult Shirley, hurling eggs or whatever trash they could get their hands on. Their faces lit up with twisted satisfaction as if bullying her filled some void in their lives.
The upper circles of Harmonfield were eerily silent. The peaceful ones sensed that this was the calm before the storm. Meanwhile, those who observed had already noticed that anyone within Draconia who had once been closely associated with Robin was being swiftly removed from their original positions. This was a clear signal.
The statement that Robin was a harbinger of disaster was now being gradually confirmed by some people within Harmonfield's elite. As a result, more people stepped forward, eager to list his so-called crimes.
The ones who had always preached fairness and justice once again stood up in anger. They declared that Robin and his ilk must be eradicated for the sake of true justice in this world.
Even those who had spent their lives cowering from street fights, the usual gangsters and thugs who thrived on bullying the weak, found themselves suddenly terrified and joined the ranks of the justice-seekers.
Emboldened, the righteous masses grew bolder, their declarations escalating as they claimed that even if the Divine Drakebane himself were to return, they would still take him down!
Some became so consumed with rage while condemning Robin collapsed on the spot, while others choked, coughed up blood, and died in sheer fury. Those being transported to the hospital could still be heard shouting through the ambulance doors before entering the intensive care unit. They wanted to fight a tyrant like Robin.
Harmonfield had become a stage, and each new declaration was another act in an ever-escalating drama.
