Chapter 118
I wanted to groan in frustration. The trip to the border hadn’t even fully started and everything was so awkward.
“We better get going now.” Arthur’s voice broke the silence.
I took that as my cue and made my

Like hell I’d let it go to waste. I dared to spare a glance at the guys.
Most of them were talking with their wolves. At that point, I turned back to staring out the car window.
The scenes blurred past me as we steadily made our way towards the border. I wished there was a way to get my wolf back.
I was tired of the creeping feeling of loneliness that seemed hell bent on swallowing me whole.
“Evelyn.”
I froze. It sounded like the voice of a girl.
Evelyn.
I looked around, wondering where the voice could have possibly come from. My head inched outside just a little. Maybe someone had seen my face and called out to me.
Nothing.
There was nothing but miles and miles of barren land. We’d long passed the areas of the kingdom that held the urbanizations. Every once in a while, we’d come across some shacks and other makeshift homes.
I hadn’t seen anybody in a while. Not to mention a girl who would have recognized me and called my name.
Maybe it was just in my head. I needed a nap anyway. I shut my eyes, hoping to get a bit of sleep before we eventually got to the place.
“Evelyn.”
There it was again. My eyes snapped open and I looked around frantically. It was Froste. He had a concerned look in his eyes as he watched me.
“Oh.” The words left my lips breathlessly.
“Is everything okay?” He asked, still looking worried.
I nodded my head, not saying anything just yet. Askhan’s head had snapped to Froste as soon as he called my name. The royal prince had a guarded look in his eyes as he watched Froste.
He had taken the spot next to me without a word, watching Froste with cautious eyes. I wanted to roll my eyes as he continued with hu didn’t think I had the strength in me to do that.

“Are you alright, Evelyn?” He asked, turning to me.
“Yes.” I nodded, wondering what was the reason for that.
His

flicked back to Froste, a challenging look in his eyes. Froste simply looked away, not saying anything.
It went on like that for the rest of the afternoon. Whenever Froste would try to do something for me, Askhan would immediately jump in and try to de
the same.
“Do you want some coffee, Evelyn?” Froste’s voice filtered through my thoughts.
