I Was the Stepping Stone novel Chapter 83

Chapter 13

At night, Andrew, who had been heavily drunk, returned home and suddenly saw a thin and weak figure busily working inside the closed kitchen door.

He was overjoyed and stumbled over to embrace the woman, his voice choked with emotion. “Katherine, you have finally come back. I knew you still loved me and wouldn’t leave me!”

“Andrew, it was me.”

Andrew let go of Sarah disappointedly and said in a cold tone, “This is not the place you should be, go back

and rest early.”

“Andrew, it has been a week since you last accompanied me, and now that we finally meet, are you going to

chase me away?” Sarah looked gloomy and said, “I have been experiencing severe morning sickness these

past few days and I can’t eat anything. I just wanted to spend some time with you.”

The man remained silent with his eyes closed.

“Andrew, I made some sobering tea, have a little.”

“I didn’t drink.”

“Andrew, it seems like you had a severe headache. Shall I give you a massage?”

“No need.”

Sarah trembled all over from his indifference.

In an instant, she placed the hangover tea by his side and gently advised, “Andrew, the fact that Ms. Duncan

left is actually a good thing, after all, you were planning to wait for me to have the baby before divorcing her,

right?”

Andrew looked at her with a displeased tone, “I said, you were supposed to call her Mrs. Thompson, did you

forget again?”

“I haven’t forgotten, but we have already gotten married,” Sarah sobbed in distress. “I am still carrying your

child, and yet you are being cruel to me because of Katherine. Have you fallen in love with her and no longer

want us?”

“Okay, I left, I made way for her!”

She ran out of the villa crying, only to find out that Andrew had not followed to comfort her.

Sarah was surprised and angry. She unlocked her phone and saw a message. “The people who took Katherine are Chairman Thompson’s people. They seem to have signed some secret agreement, and she will

never be able to return to her country.”

Sarah held her stomach and proudly smiled, saying, “I must say, this child I was carrying was really worth it.

Even Chairman Thompson, who always disliked me, was willing to help me clear obstacles.”

“Katherine, the old woman, sneaked away dejectedly, and no one will ever compete with me for Andrew

67.21%

again!”

Sarah looked back at Andrew, who was lost and drinking in the villa, with a victorious smile on her lips.

She was well aware that Andrew didn’t love Katherine at all, he was just a little uncomfortable with the idea

of this woman leaving.

He would have forgotten about Katherine’s existence within a week at most.

Let her become the rightful Mrs. Thompson!

Andrew had a splitting headache and lay in bed tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep.
