Chapter 25
Ever since the wild night, Lindsey has been protected by Kiana.
He never had a chance to get close to her, let alone get rid of the baby in her belly.
He, in unbearable pain, could only lock himself in the villa, drinking heavily all day, and then, hugging the bottle, he would
mumble her name.
Perhaps it was destined, but after one of his drunken episodes, he ended up rolling down the stairs.
The entire face was swollen and unable to speak.
He finally fell silent.
Until today, Lindsey gave birth prematurely again and was brought to the hospital by Kiana.
He was brought here by Kiana because his father’s signature was required.
In order to prevent him from hurting Lindsey again, Kiana followed her into the delivery room this time.
He sat alone outside.
Looking at the bright red three words outside the delivery room, he couldn’t help but think of everything that had happened if it hadn’t been for what happened back then.
Would it be Emerson lying in there now, and would he be going in with her as a new father?
Or perhaps she was too afraid to let him be present during the childbirth, and ordered him to wait outside.
Would he, like other new fathers, face the white wall and silently pray for her and the child’s safety?
As he was thinking, he took out the phone again and dialed the number that could never be reached.
But this time the phone call went through.
He was filled with excitement and tears streamed down his face.
The mouth opened and opened, with many words to say, but not knowing where to start.
It took a long time for him to tremulously utter two words.
“Emerson…”
In just two words, it took him a whole year to say it again to that person.
The other party remained silent.
These two words seemed to have triggered something, and he began to pour out his regrets.
have been the one to shatter her hopes.
He rambled on and on, and finally knelt down on the ground, crying and slapping himself on the face.
He said that he knew he was wrong and also knew how to change.
Emerson asked if he could give him another chance.
But he paused for a long time, and there was not a sound from the other side.
“Emerson?”
“Emerson!”
He called out her name in panic, but it remained silent on the other side.
Tristian hastily moved the phone away, only to realize that it had been hung up by her at some point!
He dialed back again to the past and found that the other party had turned off their phone again!
“Ah -”
A desperate scream escaped from his throat.
He knew that there was no chance between them anymore!
The loud noise attracted the attention of the people around.
Even the passing doctors looked at him.
“Mr. Eldred, you finally came to the hospital.”
The doctor approached him and handed him the report that had been issued a long time ago.
“Last time, you had a physical examination with Mrs. Eldred. Due to confidentiality reasons, Mrs. Eldred couldn’t see your test results and couldn’t take them with her. Since you happen to be at the hospital this time, you can take the report with
you.”
Tristian thanked and took over, at the moment of seeing the report results.
He suddenly opened his eyes.
And at this moment, a wail was heard from the delivery room, followed by a scream!
He looked fearfully at the operating room.
Soon, the gate opened with a loud bang from the inside.
The dizzy Kiana and the newly deli.—
Seeing him, the nurse looked puzzled.
“Sir, are you sure you were the father of the child?”
Tristian remembered the conclusion in the report and closed his eyes in pain.
Finally, I forced myself to look at the baby in the cradle.
