Rise of the returned sister (by Isla) novel Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Jason and Emily quickly showed concern for Xena..

Janie had no interest in this. Jackson intrigued, grabbed her and led her over, with David following.

The scene was chaotic, with broken dishes everywhere. Xena seemed overwhelmed, while Ryan looked despondent.

Jackson asked. How could you let this happen?

Ryan felt embarrassed, noticing a hint of schadenfreude in Jackson’s expression.

He glanced at Janie, but she stood silently next to Jackson, not even looking his way.

Frustrated. Ryan clenched his teeth.

Xena quickly explained, I messed up, sorry. I’m trying to help Ryan.”

Ryan shook his head. You didn’t do it on purpose.

Jason comforted her, When trying something new, mistakes are normal. Don’t be hard on yourself.”

Hearing this, Jackson really wanted to roll his eyes,

Janie observed quietly, then spoke up. Let’s clean up the mess first. You can comfort each other later.

[Listen to me, Jackson, don’t act in the future. Your acting is terrible.]

[Janie had me laughing so hard! She really knows how to cut through all the drama!]

[Honestly, I’m a bit confused too. Why not take a moment to clean up the broken bowl? Am I the only one who feels bad for the bowl? It’s all broken. What a waste!]

They were i

instantly embarrassed by the fact that they were comforting each other.

Some grumbled about the staff, wondering why no one had cleaned up.

Jackson nodded a few times and said, Yeah, let’s clean this up first to avoid any accidents.

He sighed and added, You can continue once it’s sorted.

The others felt a bit awkward to hear what he said.

Xena was the first to speak up and take responsibility. Everyone’s been looking out for me. It’s my fault. I’ll clean it up right away.

Jason quickly interjected. No way, you’re the little princess.

With that, he grabbed the broom and dustpan to start tidying up. Xena also rushed to help.

Janie and Jackson exchanged glances and turned around together.

Jackson said, It’s really beautiful here. How about we take a stroll?

Janie replied with a nod. Sounds good

David following along, chimed in with a smile. Do you mind if I join you?

Jackson responded honestly. Actually, I do mind.

David’s smile widened. You really have a knack for joking

Jackson just rolled his eyes,

Tim serious and never joke around. I’m the coldest person you’ve ever met besides Spencer he thought.

Jason is a true gentleman!]

[Jackson and Janie can’t take it anymore. It’s clear that they have a deep connection with each other!]

[Haha, Jackson is so straightforward.]

Emily was chatting joyfully with Ryan and Xena, but her mood soured a bit when she noticed David walking away with Janie and Jackson

After bidding farewell to Nena, she quickly rushed to catch up with them.

Emily jogged over with a smile and said, How about we take a walk together?

David frowned slightly, appearing hesitant.

Emily added. We’re partners, but we haven’t had a chance to team up yet.”

Once David understood, he agreed without further objection.

Jackson seemed more upset and was about to say something when Janie gently tugged at him.

With a bright smile, she suggested, There are bicycles over there. How about we ride around?

Instantly, Jackson’s frown faded, and he nodded eagerly.

David, captivated by Janie’s smile, snapped out of his thoughts and chimed in, That sounds fun. Let’s go!

Janie beamed and nodded in agreement.

Emily felt a bit embarrassed. But I can’t ride a bicycle,she said.

Jackson replied straightforwardly, Then you’ll have to walk.”

Emily’s smile faded, and she thought to herself that Jackson really didn’t know how to be considerate

David nodded and chimed in, Looks like you’ll have to walk, Emily. We’ll head out first.

Emily’s face turned even paler.

She took a deep breath and said, But I really want to be with you. David, can you give me a ride? I think this bike can carry people.”

Without hesitation, David replied, Sorry, I’m not skilled enough to carry people on my bike.

Frustrated with his response, Emily turned to David and smiled, Jackson-

But Jackson cut her off, saying firmly, Absolutely not

Emily felt overwhelmed and forced a smile. So your skills aren’t that great either?

In front of Janie, Jackson wasn’t about to admit any shortcomings

Chapter 20

Not at all,he replied confidently. My skills are good. I just prefer not to carry people.

Emily’s gaze turned icy. You’re always jokingshe said, forcing a smile.

Jackson was puzzled; he didn’t see why she thought he was the type to joke around.

Emily pressed on. Jackson, do you have some kind of misunderstanding about me?

Jackson raised an eyebrow, confused. No, it’s just that we’re not close, so I don’t want to,he replied. I only carry my sister.

[Jackson’s expression darkened. He just wants to be alone with his sister.]

Isn’t David going overboard? And Jackson is even worse! He doesn’t even care about the senior ]

Why is it always our responsibility to take care of them? Doesn’t the younger generation deserve some support too? What’s the big deal if David isn’t skilled and Jackson isn’t willing to help?]
